Hummel - BumblebeeI came, I saw, I took the perfect picture! One second it was there and then it flew away. I've tried to duplicate it chasing winged insects, but so far nothing comparable.

This is cute! I love bees, and I love flowers, and green is kinda my favourite colour. Now I take it what bothers you about this picture is that many people don't like it terribly, so i'll try to focus on that without getting too deep in photography
Obviously it's an insect, first off. I'm guessing it's not an interesting subject until you become a bigshot photographer. Further to the insect-thing, the focus on the wings is extremely impressive to me, skill-wise, but i think (this is pure conjecture) it might creep people out? If this were a painting i'd tell you to increase contrast (which you can do with heavy editing) and very importantly fix the composition. As it is now, things are right off the center--not attractive. check out the rule of thirds, it gives an instant fix. Hope this helps!

Insects aren't a problem in general so I don't think that's a point. But you might be right about the composition. Unfortunatly the flower gets cut off when I tried the new position for the bumblebee. But I'll keep trying.
