What I like with this one is, that even if it's actually just an eye, it looks more like a closeup of a living, breathing person. It captures an expression and draws the observer to wonder what it had looked at or what the person whom it belongs to, is thinking at that very moment. The shading gives it a more 3D feel and the light even a sort of 'moist' one, befitting an eye.

Thank you very much! The image is a whole face in real life, however the eye was the first thing I shaded etc.
I was conscious of trying to get a different angle, and not just a straight look to the viewer--I'm glad you it makes you think of those things.

lol! eyes are fun to doodle, but to be fair I was looking at a picture I took of my friends face for a project and this is not the whole piece
