I am sorry for uploading like every day, I feel like a bad person;;; Riding the wave of new fandom material to draw!Was going to add Aemon to this, but I was also juggling the idea of doing a separate Night's Watch pic since ~they're their own family~ and I will include him there instead...also I just didn't feel like drawing him at the moment, but I like my first reasoning better. Otherwise I couldn't find any Targ charas I'd read about that had decent physical descriptions ('cause I don't want to be like 'this is essentially my OC with this character's name) or I haven't read about them yet :T I'll probably be going back to all these pics and adding characters, maybe if there's someone you'd like to see in them, give me a comment?

Would it have been too presumptuous to have included Jon? I know its not yet been confirmed by I'm pretty sure he is Rhaegar and Lyanna's son.

The irony is Rhaegar would have probably made a brilliant king and would have been much better than Robert. Rhaegar was in his prime and had two children. The things people say about the mad king is all true, but whenever Rhaegar is mentioned its all positive stuff. The only one who talks about him badly is Robert Baratheon.
Rhaegar would have made a great king, unlike Viserys or Daenerys. Both of whom I think suffer from the Targaryen Madness and are not fit to rule. Viserys' madness was obvious, but I think George is writing Daenerys character in a way that hides her madness and tricks the audience into thinking she is doing heroic stuff. Just like Walter White from breaking bad. I mean, most of what Daenerys has done is really screwed up... she has to be, or at least is showing the early signs of madness. (Which I think would be an amazing way to take her character)ย

I would love to see more Targaryens in this pic! While there is a general lack of description for the others not in the series, they do have some brief descriptions in his other works.
If I remember everything, Aegon V (Egg from the "Hedge Knight") had his head shaved, and actually kept it bald when he became king.
His father Maekar was tall and broad, and had a square-cut beard, but his brother Baelor had brown hair and a slightly broken nose.
Aegon the Conqueror, if I recall, was the only Targaryen specifically noted to have had short hair

Have you read the ASOIAF comic Hedge Knight? There's a few more Targaryens in that. Though I think only one of them is mentioned in the books, and that's Aerion Brightflame.

It was pretty cool. It portrays both the crazy and normal Targaryens really well. Also, there are certain parts in ASOIAF where they'll mention the comic characters, and it makes it sort of special once you've read about them.

I think the facial scar makes him look badass ... but then I could be wrong?

Word. :3 I loved them! I only have the first trade, but my husband's been picking up bits and pieces of the second one...and I think there's a third hanging around somewhere at least. The first one is a lot like A Knight's Tale, but I think I like it a little better than that because it, yanno, actually keeps in its own period. XD

I don't think there's more Targs appearing in the books, but Russian artist Amok did several portraits of famous historical Targs like Aegon the Conqueror and his sisters. They were for a book called The Art of ASOIAF (or something like that) and GRRM himself gave him the descriptions of the characters. I think Amok has an online gallery with all these portraits, maybe he has the descriptions online as well?

I'd seen the portraits by Amok, but thank you for telling me about the art book! My roomie and I were wondering if such a thing existed just recently. If it includes the descriptions I'll definitely need to buy it!
