ttA gift for the Targaryens of WesteroSorting -- a cross-generational Targ family portrait.From left to right: Aerys II the Mad (eating his fingernails), Daenerys I (annoyed that she took the time to put on her warrior queen getup and no one else is taking it seriously), Rhaenyra I (Martin's description mentions that she wanted to be like Visenya, but not even a corset can contain that figure), Aegon IV the Unworthy (I think he likes the corset), Visenya I (bringing sexy back...just forget that that's her brother), Aegon I the Conqueror (bein' all deadpan because he's that cool), Viserys III the Beggar (presently begging for attention), Rhaenys I (my favorite part of this picture, dunno why), Maegor I the Cruel (hates his family), Baelor I the Blessed (totally horrified), and of course Bloodraven and Shiera Seastar (being themselves and screwing up the family photo).

Is it just me, or does anyone else imagine Daenerys in this picture as the teenage daughter embarrassed of her crazy family? It'll be like "Congrats, Dad... You had that one guy strangled and his dad burned alive. Now everybody except maybe the Tyrells and Martels want our family dead. I hope you're proud of yourself."Β

I think it would be cool to continue the show once they're finished with the Song of Ice and Fire books and have stuff about Robert's rebellion, the Blackfyre stuff, and stuff with Aegon coming to Westeros.Β Β Alice Eve should play Siera Seastar, she's beautiful and she's got the mismatched blue and green eyes.Β

I do know they're thinking about a prequel series based on GRRM's Hedge Knight stories, which is set roughly 90 years before A Game of Thrones. And of course, coming out this fall is the GRRM's lore book.
