Kate and I finally got a chance to talk to our editor at tokyopop, this time in person!
He gave us some suggestions regarding the character design, and a few story details, but other than that, liked the idea and is willing to push it forward! Exciting news for us These are my new character designs based on his suggestions. I tried to make them more bird-like, and less angelic, using the extra feathers, and also by trying to make his postures slightly awkward and like those of a bird. They came out a bit camp, but oh well, Enda's androgynous! XD...had to copyright this one since it now matters a bit more.

I love! Just don't let those damn morons over at TokyoPop let you unwittingly become half of the cookie-cutter garbage they publish! I haven't been to impressed with their choice of artists to publish (besides you, of course, that makes me so happy that they found someone original like yourself

TP have been releasing some good stuff lately. ''Go With Grace'' is worth checking out, as is Becky Cloolan's new manga, ''east coast rising'', along with ''fool's gold'', and ''my cat loki'' (which may look a little typical, but is charming as hell). ''Afterlife'' looks like it could be promising too, it's *certainly* not typical looking that's for sure.

omg yay!! This relay remidns me of the picture you did a while back, with the beautiful bird winfgs rather than the regular angel wings... Good luck with the tokyopop thing!! I love the character himself, he looks so innocent and inquisitive~

So THIS is your new design! I must say, I do prefer where this is going. I think this version looks more intersting/unique. (I love the bottom left corner pose btw!) And blonde hair + red eyes = win! (imo)

The red eyes are such a contradictingly (o.o?) nice touch to this design n__n I just adore your linework so much! This project sounds really exciting, I hope to hear more about it soon ^0^/

It's about this character, Enda, who is a being of pure thought, and whose job is to guide humans (although he's invisible to them). Enda becomes obsessed with the human world, and one human in particular....

sounds like it will be an interesting peice of work, the story idea sounds like it has the potential to be deep, imaginative and emotional--all the things I like to see in a comic! ^^ Good luck

another shot of KICKASS for you, huh!? this is so great! Spoonie, youa re all grown up, with now a published work coming up. this looks fantastic. the colors are beautiful. its amazing how such minimal tones can make such a definitive character. as ~pixieface said, the hands look great. they are exactly like a birds, all claw like, in behavior. it looks like a bird's soul trapped in a person's body.
