None of the animals excisting today is boring, evil, stupid, etc. It's just what people think, our opinion. I do like canines and wolves a lot but that doesn't make me think your opinion is wrong.

I think it's wrong, honestly. They didn't choose to be wolves. No creature, not even humans chose it.

A species cannot be "overrated". That's just discriminatory.
They exist on Earth and they're living and breathing. They didn't choose to be that species.
Also, be aware that this is part of Anti-Wolf, a group that claims they don't hate wolves, but outright supports killing all wolves, including pups and family packs for sport and claims dogs are not wolves, despite DNA evidence proving otherwise.
Plus, like I'v said with others, it could just be argued that humans are overrated because they appear in media more than wolves do. Does that sound fair?

You mean equal, not better.
No animal is "better" than another. They're equal and they always will be. And dodo birds are not better than all individual wolves. If you truly think that then you're just speciesist and you could probably use some mental help. How about you respect all animals?

Quit responding to every insightful comment that you come across like an angry social justice warrior. You need mental help because you have an obsession with responding to conversations that are several years old. Loathing random stuff has nothing to do with mental illness. Do a little research before you decide to open your mouth. I love how you deactivated your account because you are a salty little bitch.

Still think cows are cuter than all wolves and dogs? Do you think that, what I just showed you, is hideous? Because if so, then there's something wrong with you. Because that's pretty speciesist and you're just judging them based on how they look. That is a really toxic mindset to have and it's bad enough we have humans judging members of their own species, thinking thy can decide who's cute and who's not. Stop setting and unrealistic beauty standard and stop disliking or hating animals simply because of their species. Dogs and wolves didn't choose to be dogs or wolves just like you didn't choose to be a human being. They were born that way.
I think they're equally cute. In fact, I think that should be law.

They didn't say wolves are dogs, they said dogs are wolves which is absolutely true. Dogs, biologically are gray wolves. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Origin_oβ¦
All you did was reverse it to make that person seem like they're an idiot or they don't know what they're talking about. Not to mention you're replying to a deactivated account which is unfair to say the least because they can't respond back.
If you think dogs and wolves are two separate species then you might want to study wolves again. Or as I would recommend, taking a DNA test. Many were done, and all came back the same. The dogs, all of common breeds, were 100% archaic wolf.
A canine is not a bird, by the way. Stop trying to make people who know, mind you, proven scientific facts out to be idiots. It's really immature and it only shows that you can't handle a mature discussion.

Really? Just because someone has "wolf" in their username, it means they're "body-part hurt"? Because honestly, that sounds very typical for you so called "anti-wolves". Which, by the way, that is not a positive movement. Like, at all.
I've seen plenty of people with "wolf" in their username who respond to stamps like this in a mature manner. But nope, they must be "asshurt" too, going off of your logic. Plus, looking at archived links of their page, they have "wolf" in their name because their fursona was a wolf. So really, you're just making fun of people for their names which is like something a preschool bully would do.
If I told you that dinosaurs were all stupid and you got offended by that and someone called you "asshurt" (by the way, not a real world) for it, that wouldn't be fair. But yeah, nice mature debate you gave there. All you're doing is further proving the fact that anti-wolves are very, very, VERY immature people who can't respect others' opinions. Let people like wolves and stop harassing/insulting them for it.

I like wolves but I'm not obsessed with them. Hell the average domestic dog is more interesting than wolves. But as for wild animals I prefer felines actually. Like lions and other big/wild cats. I think had there not been so many wolfaboos and wolf otherkin people, wolves wouldn't be as overrated as they are now XD
π: 0 β©: 1
MysticalDove In reply to TakuraLion [2019-08-14 19:07:55 +0000 UTC]
Domestic dogs are biologically wolves so you're saying that wolves are more interesting than themselves. That just defies all logic whatsoever.
Plus, it's kind of discriminatory too. You're basically saying that no wolves are just as interesting as their domesticated descendants when you haven't met every individual wolf on Earth. Meet them all first before you jump to conclusions like that.Β
A species cannot be "overrated" and that's just as biased as saying that all dogs are more interesting than all wolves. A species simply exists, just like you and you're saying they're "overrated" simply because people like them which isn't fair because wolves didn't choose to be wolves and people have the right to like them if they want. Going off of that logic, humans must be overrated because of how many humanitarians there are who love and appreciate and help members of their own kind. That's not fair either.
As for otherkin, there's really nothing wrong with people believing they were a wolf in a past life, it's their personal belief. It's like a religion. Just because they believe it doesn't mean you have to. Just ignore it and move on. It's not harming you, so why do you care?
I've said this once and I'll say it again. There is no such thing as a "wolfaboo". That's not even a word. But if it were, I honestly would consider it a slur like I do now, against people who simply like an animal.

Everybody thinks that wolves are so smart and soΒ brave. Well I have bad news for you buddy! Elephants are much better in my personal opinion! They have great memories, and a wolf pack would not be able to kill a heathy adult elephant. Even lions only try to kill the babies or the sick ones, if they attempt to at all! Oh, they mourn their dead just like us to! WHAT WOLF WOULD TAKE THE TIME TO DO THAT? ZERO, THAT'S WHAT! Also, I know that wild elephants are dangerous, but some of them (such as tamed elephants) are very gentle and loving! Also the babies are cuter than the wolf pups, just saying. RANT OVER

We have alligator gars (their only natural predator is the alligator, they are the largest gar and their eggs are poisonous)
Okapi (only relative to the giraffe)
Clouded Leopard (one oi the smallest leopards in the world)
Rats (very smart)
Spiders (eh, depends on the type.)

π: 0 β©: 0
Nightshadowthedemon [2015-10-14 22:08:12 +0000 UTC]
Nope. Too much mental scarring in five seconds of looking at these stamps. I'm not obsessed with wolves, but I DO NOT support hunting them or killing them off. At times they may get boring, but I think we should all have a right to state our own opinion without influence from others. Oh and another thing, I like wolves, and as a matter of fact, my whole family does because my grandfather used to study and work with them. I don't approve of killing ANY living creature for sport or for fun, but hell, that's my opinion and if you have any problems with MY opinion, then I'll spell it out for you: I COULD CARE LESS. I have enough problems without having to deal with people constantly fighting over what animals are boring and what animals should be killed or hunted or wiped out and blah blah blah. It's all very irritating, and if I get any rude or hatred-filled comments, I'm going to put my bare feet up on the computer desk, dramatically chew my bubblegum and flare my nostrils into the distance.

The thing is, the popularΒ 'fluffy and majestic' wolf subspecies of North-America aren't responsible for dogs. Sure, they have influenced some breeds, but as a whole, they are not the ancestors of dogs. The often overlooked and ignored, even by wolf lovers, jackal-like wolves of India and the Middle-East are most likelyΒ responsible for that. There is even a theory that dholes, not wolves, are the direct ancestors of dogs thanks to several anatomic similarities. Its an interesting theory, but there isn't enough evidence for it yet, nor will I doubt there will ever be.Β
I do get the point of the stamp though. While wolves aren't boring per se, the way they hunt or their social hierarchy works isn't really outstanding or unique. At the same time, if we're talking about social carnivores, dholes, painted dogs and spotted hyenas have fascinating and unique societies that are often overlooked.
