Did most of this one during my elective last class, and coloured it this weekend.Hope ya like it!

I absolutely adore this drawing.
The style and coloring are just perfect for the feel of the piece. The lines are simple, the colors bold and the textures rough. And that contrast between the simplicity and the detailed internals absolutely lends to the 'traditional cartoon feel'. I love Mario's expression 
The only thing I wonder about - is the splotch of ground next to Mario's foot? It is a bit distracting, when you try to focus on the picture.
But, regardless - in an overall look, this is an exceptionally well done fan-art that definitely pulls you into the Super Mario world. Great job!

Wow, I'm glad you like the drawing so much! ...and to think, this piece wouldn't exist, had I been paying attention to the the lesson in one of my electives last year. Haha.
Oh, as for the blotch...To be honest, I never actually noticed that! (or maybe I did, and I just forgot since it was a year ago). But yeah, that blotch is actually from one of the textures I overlayed...Should have caught that one...My bad!

It's funny, the expressions on Mario and the Goomba make it seem as if Mario is the bad guy! Come to think of it, there were good Goombas in Paper Mario games.

Yeah, I was kinda going for that, although originally this wasn't even going to be a Mario-themed piece at all...So in a sense it's coincidental, and at the same time it was preconceived.
Yeah, I remember the good Goombas...I miss Paper Mario! I think I'll play it some time this summer...lol
