i'm sorry since everyone loved those dumbass colors way too much, but i decided to leave the final =Spark-bound teaser a little more professional looking. so for those of you smart (or not?) enough to come sniffing around the update, i've loaded the newly completed layer of the boys in true(ish) color with all the lines and details visible, and their proportions and positioning altered to a way i can be committed for the duration of this project. i can finally flatten them now so my computer stops seizing. shading and atmosphere are a long and frustrating process with two thousand active forms registering.
so savor the flavor cuz they ain't coming back til this is ALL DONE AND OVER WITH. :] and hopefully i don't make a career out of using stock for vecks but rather learn to draw.

this is a preview advertisement sluttage for the promotion-LOA society of solicitors with even less drive than they have talent. for example, used a stock for placement and build but adherence to it pretty much ends there (against my better judgment as someone who doesn't draw very well). i didn't even preserve the original proportions so i'm on my own there as well.

The guy in the rabbit mask makes me think of Frank from Donnie Darco...
Great job on drawing them in mask - at least for me, it's always hard to line up the face with the mask.

i hate that fucking lameass weirdo movie and i'm sick of hearing about it... thought i was in the safe zone years later, but no... lol. i do know that almost anyone who doesn't completely hate it is up its ass with love for it so i will accept that as a very gracious compliment. XD
looking at it, i don't even think i lined up the masks very well. o_o fortunately i can still fix it. but i'm glad you like the idea, kind of was the selling point here.

well i'd buck the credit for the feet on this one, but i actually did have to re-draw them. the guys in the photo were wearing like... hiking boots. totally not scene or indie kid wear.
as far as footwear goes... i'm not great, but i like specialize in chuck's so.... don't feel undermined... i have an unnatural amount of practice and reference drawing them since EVERY ONE OF MY CHARACTERS SINCE THE DAWN OF TIME has worn them and so have i.
bare feet i can't draw though. horrible.

haha yeah the bird thing kinda lingers around me subliminally... also the jacket's got a similar cut. it's not pressed though just a crummy cotton scene jacket. they're supposed to doves flying over the upside-down cross, i thought the irony-in-blasphemy thing was sooooo emo. (thanks norma jean)

Heheh, I like how they look kinda 90's too! Rather than those gigantic black raver pants with the hundreds of pointless zippers and chains, like at some of the clubs now days.

i like him too a little, he's a compilation of things that i equate with being outside and meeting new people and... being in the scene. a lot of me went into him too.
i actually think he's MORE of a douche than Thirtyfive, come to think of it... o: he doesn't have any excuse for how he acts.

because Seth is a bunny. i figured though it'd be hard to find a mask that coordinates with his ACTUAL bunny form, and also i wanted to insult his pride a little with a goofy easter mask. i modeled it after one i have on my desk. in a way though, i thought it was kinda hipster-y for him to wear a cutesy one... it makes it freakier. it also seems like something an indie-mo kid would do to be funny and thereby, cooler than everyone else. CHECK OUT MY AWESOME BUNNY MASK GUYZ I AM SO HOT. I AM SO HOT RIGHT NOW. IRONY IS SEXY. WTF ARE YOU LOOKIN AT BRAH!? *swells up on some innocent guy*

Well you never fail to impress so I can't wait for the final product with all the other effects and such in use. I recently got a new tablet pc and the graphics card on this is prime, so coming back and looking over your older stuff is like seeing them for the first time. I appreciate your awesome coloring ten folds now, you're frickin' awesome!

Like some dude said up there...I also really like the way the hands are drawn. As well as the arms. Most of the time, people will draw arms down by their sides and it will look all crappy and stiff, but you did it perfectly. It looks natural. That cat mask is so adorable. Seth looks like he is being a dick. What a bitch. Tell that scene bitch to give me my jacket back!

I dunno, these colours might work like a sorta 'Simpsons' effect. Eye-catching to give it character, but not too weird.
