Description The MG22 is a light machine gun (which could debatably be classified as a submachine gun) that fires .22 LR ammunition. Developed in 2045 for the United Nations Marine Corps and United Nations Army, it is meant for suppressive fire, and can fire in three-round burst or fully automatic modes. It is bullpup, and the 300-round box can be mounted on either side of the stock. That combined with the adjustable bolt cover makes it fully ambidextrous.

Although it is designed for suppressive fire, its high rate of fire (well over 1200 rounds per minute) allows it to dispatch lightly armored enemies more quickly and more cost-effectively than assault rifles and battle rifles. Against heavy armor and strong cover, however, it's next to useless.

High rate of fire and low recoil, very useful! Though I must ask were the ejection port is.

The belt feeds into the bolt area (inside AK upper receiver part), then ejects the used shell and belt bit out the other side, like an M249.

.22LR will not punch through armor at all. It's not designed for power. It's a VERY small round meant for plinking, small animals and the like.

By 2045, I will assume people will have more than enough armor to stop your basic 7.62. People will laugh at you if you brought .22LR to the battlefield TODAY even.

Anyways, the PMG creation was done nicely; trying to figure out the ejection port. Could use a bit more blending at the front end, though.

This is actually meant to be used against rebels under a unified Earth. So, it would be used against people who couldn't get their hands on good equipment.

I didn't really do too much on the ejection port, as there are not many parts in PMG that could work with .22 ammo and I'm not good at making parts...Essentially, it works like an M249 feeding system where the belt goes in to feed the ammo on one side, then ejects the shells and disintegrated belt on the other side. Except that it's not quite as convenient in a bullpup design; you have the box right under your chin. i.e. the variant shown is for left-handed shooters.

Thanks for your feedback!
