tensor bandages, used by FTMs and other gender-queer peeps to bind down breasts, are often uncomfortable and leave deep red creases in the skin when they are bound tight for a long period of time. this picture captures the vulnerability and shame trans people sometimes experience when they take their bandages off and face the flawed bodies they were borne into.i used a weak editing program on this photo. let me know if any seams show up on your screen (my screen is very dark). thanks.

And I dont have a straight body either, I go in and out 10-12 inches in a big hourglass. And I'm 5"3'. Seriously, ~I am nothing to be jealous of,~ and I feel for all you guys out there in the same situation.

For all those peeps who are discouraged with large breasts, I am a 28H. Yeah. Size tiny-HUGE. And underworks tri-tops work wonders, you would not believe my breasts were that size. I'm still paranoid, I mean, there is a ten inch drop from bust to boob in a bra, but really, please please please, underworks are only 30$. If, like me, there are sizing and cost issues, there are plenty of donor binder services for this purpose.
Dont kill yourselves over binding; you are worth more than your breasts are.

I wish I could find a binder or something that would work. I was "gifted" with DDD's and I can't get them flat no matter what I try... I would gladly bear the red marks if it meant that I could feel convincing for once in my life.

I just read this comment, and felt like to share a bit tips. I ordered a binder last summer, and it's just simply amazing, it feels much more comfortable than using bandages (yeah, I used to use those too, until I really couldn't bare the back pains I had), so I ordered mine from T-Kingdom. I really recommend those binders, they're quite expensive, but trust me, they work damn well! But make sure to not order too small as I did...

I normally bind over a tank top to help prevent the red marks. They still happen though. I just hate how binders make me sweat and irritate my skin even more than the bandages do.

Late comment I know, but this is very vulnerable and touching, and because I'm in the same boat but have only known for about a year, leaves me with a pretty stupid question, namely, where the hell does one obtain tensor bandages...?

Bandages weren't working for me after a while, so I finally upgraded to a binder.. Now it's lacking. Sigh... hoping financial aid appears soon. <3 Somewhere along the line of college and small work.

This reminds me of my chest. I use ace bandages, and they really hurt like a bitch. I completely understand this...And it surprised me to find this on DA. But I really appreciate finding this.
