Description The trees are not mourning over their own deaths, they are mourning over yours. Do not kill which keeps you alive. After the death of the earth, there can never be a rebirth.
--------------

18"x24"
oil

8 hours.

i don't think anyone has noticed yet, or atleast no one has mentioned it, but there are buildings such as skyscrapers and smoke stacks in the background.

im sorry this took so long, its just that this painting never really seemed to attach itself to me like all my others, so i never really wanted to go back to it. but im glad it's done, my dad likes it

EDIT: i just HAD to remove those dust spots.

Hello,

My name is Sarah and I am writing a book for the Writers festival in New Castle in September.

I would love it if you could draw me a landscape. it is in the middle of a wild overgrown forest and it is a picture of a clearing. in this clearing is a swing, supported by old dis coloured ropes, a patch of purple flowers and a door, surrounded by rubble. this door must be olden looking but very beautiful (in a run down sort of way) with vines creaping on it. then it is just trees all around. i have a drewing that will signify where everything is placed and the rest is up to you...

could you please do this for me??

I will be making no profit from this but it would helfp my story and if i do get it published (which i doubt) it will not be for a long time and i can get incontact with you later.

this can be a donation drawing or something that (if the book makes it past the publishers) is profitable, your choice.

But i would LOVE IT if you could do this for me! Just reply to my DeviantART account or e-mail me on roxywriter@hotmail.com with your answer...

Thank you for your time.

Sarah.

The way I see it is that you trying to say that people have killed off so much of the world already (hence that all of the life in the right is dead) ,and that we will continue to till there is no life left (all the greenery in the middle is all slowly dieing because we continue to build are cities) I like it a lot I think it’s a good use of colour and symbolism. Im looking forward to see more of your work

With death come life~

I love this, but i dont agree. Death is Life. Life is Death. To sides of a coin. Just as important and as beautiful as each other.

Death is nature. Nature does not mourn.

ah wow, love the transition. the sky looks amazing - i like that you have the texture and that the brushstrokes are visible. like the hints of color on the right. oh, and the values on the right side are really good too.

It wouldn't even qualify as "surreal".
