Hi everyone,

Here’s the second part to a request made by SonicAndTailsfan64. In contrast to Sonic, I thought it’d give Knuckles’ home a more natural feel to it considering that he lives mostly alone on Angel Island, therefore would probably have a deep connection to his surroundings, viewing them as friends. He might also sleep next to the Master Emerald so nobody tries to steal it.

As requested he’s wearing a nightgown, which was a really cool idea. It kind of ties in with my headcanon as to why female mobians wear more visible clothes than the males. I believe that it’s to do with insulation. If we look at Rouge and Whisper, their skin is visible on their arms and shoulders, therefore we can guess that as they mature their fur becomes thinner, therefore wear more to keep their body heat in. There are exceptions, e.g Princess Sally which suggests that it might be genetic and unpredictable as to who it affects. Therefore, so they are prepared for it, the female mobians traditionally wear more clothes in case this happens to them. As to how this relates to Knuckles, males normally don’t require it so they don’t bother as their fur thickness is more consistant. However, considering that Angel Island is in the sky, it’s likely to be really cold up there during the night so Knuckles has his nightgown to keep warm.

If you’re wondering why he is thinking of Sonic in one frame with a cross through it, it’s because he just wants some peace at the time (not sure if the note underneath can be read but that’s what it says). However that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t like him as the next time he appears in the thought bubble with Tails, he’s wishing on a star that they’d visit him soon as he misses them.

The frame with him stretching says that “even bears aren’t a threat now,” and that “He could take one on now.” I wasn’t best pleased with this sketch but didn’t really know how best to portray it so really sorry about that.

Lastly, the song he’s listening to on the radio is “Apotus Hub, night”. It’s such a cool song!
