Idreth
Dimension: The people of Nex'Harena are called Idreth. Defining features about them are their horns, bone tails and ranging skin colors. Usually these colors stay in the warm spectrum and their horns become decorated when they reach adulthood. Most do not hold poison within their tails. Idreth's schlera are actually white until they hit about teen . They gradually turn black until they hit about 18 years old. Those that have poison within their tails are immune to that poison, so it can't be used against them.
Idreth stem from barbaric roots, having lasted through the centuries because of their hardiness and willingness to resort to violence to get things done. They try not to blindly do so and learn from their mistakes as well as how their surroundings react. With dangerous creatures wandering about, they cannot afford to be soft in response to their environment.
Dimension:
■Nex'Harena■ There is only one city on the mostly undiscovered planet. Cradled within the perimeters of the a gargantuan beasts's corpse, Nex'Harena's main city is dubbed Sen'cora, the Thorn Crown. Many buildings stay mostly within the ribcage, either sitting at the base of it or even hanging off /carved into it. The skull of the beast, tilted up towards the sky, is where most clans leaders and the royal family reside, but it isn't too uncommon for some to stay were the commoners sometimes.
The world is held in perpetual twilight save for one day in the middle of week when the sun does appear high above the sky. That day is dubbed Luxadis, and it's seen as a day of opportunity and luck.Light stems from deposits and pillars of glowing crystal called Adustian. When Luxadis is not happening, it is a light source for Idreth , creatures and plants. Most food is grown underground in garden caves whose walls are covered in the same luminescent crystal. Every family has its own garden and usually doesn't have to worry about running out of food since most crops grow within in a week. However, livestock is not something that is kept within Sen'cora since it will attract predators from the outside.Hunting takes place during Luxadus since most vicious beasts do not come out when sunlight covers the land.
Hunting is dangerous to the unexperienced yet it is very rewarding. Meat is expensive and a big money maker considering that one day a hunter may return with plenty and the next day be dead out in the wild. Certain types of meat are rare, and are usually bought by those higher in status while others are common and are on the tables of most families.
Five clans reside within Sen'cora, one of which is the royal family. There are many a time when conflict arises among them , a few times giving rise to a sort of civil war. Though most of the time, it's set aside due to the need of togetherness and harmony, especially on Nex'Harena. However, some solutions leave bitter tastes in many clans people's mouths and a sort of underlying grudge can persist for years.
The discovery of technology led to the gradual modernization of Idreth and soon the invention of the train came into appearance. It was found out by a group of ambitious Idreth who found that by using a large chunk of Adustian, it can power the train indefintely. With the use of the train, Idreth began using it as a way to expand outside of their ribcage home and explore the world.Eventually, smaller towns began forming outside of Sen'cora and Idreth used the locamotives to travel from their town to their capital city.
With the formation of their new mode of transportation came new jobs. Explorers, mercenaries, technicians, etc became high in demand so that transportation from one place to another was secured. Though despite this advancement, old traditions have not died and many still cling to the old ways of doing things how they used to before the train came into existence. Nex'Harena is held in a state of slow transformation as some wish for progression while others hold tightly to their tradition. It has been a conflict among its people and has caused many rifts in relationships that used to be so close.
Personality: Brimming with confidence, she likes a challenge and is known to challenge others back. Mischievous at times, she knows when she's crossed the line or getting no where with certain subjects so she leaves it be for the most part. She can be flirtatious and tries to look harmless but this may all be a facade. In actuality , she's a violent creature who can hold deep-seated grudges if wronged and though she may offer you a plate of cookies as a sort of forgiveness for the wrongdoing, it may actually be laced with poison. Though she tries to keep her royal image, this doesn't mean she can't lower herself from her high horse and try to relate to others. Being away from home, she can't afford to make enemies by herself and hey, maybe she could try this whole making friends thing. She tries to be the best in whatever sport, event, etc. that comes her way and if she isn't, she'll try her hardest until first place is hers.
History:
Born into the royal family, Ashira had much laid out before her. She had been born before the creation of the train and was taught what many Idreth were taught in the early days. Though because she was part of the royal family, she also had to learn not only about her clan, but the four others as well along with being able to negotiate and keep peace. It was rough, especially considering an Idreth's roots were one of violence and, sometimes, hot tempers. Yet she found fun among all this chaos. It was a challenge and she was determined to come out of it on top.
As she grew, she was taught how to hunt and gather. It was a way of learning how those even on the bottom of the totem pole could be important. It was also preparation of when she would have to uphold the family's most important tradition. In order for her to be the next ruler, she would have to go on a hunt and bring back the pelt of a rare beast called the Arawar gyazo.com/1bf89884624db50bcf42… . Not only was it a rite of passage, but if one succeeded in their hunt, they would look very desirable to others and seen as a worthy leader.
So when she was of age ( 30 years to be exact) , she was confronted by her family on the night of when she would have to embark on her great hunt. It was exciting and also nerve wracking as it would be her moment to prove herself worthy to rule. The hunt was grueling, yet she welcomed every bruise, scratch and other injuries she endured. The hunt took months but that was expected. And the moment she had came across the beast, she did not feel fear but anticipation.
It had happened in a riverbed far from home. With water supply low, Ashira had decided to stop there to stock up , drink and think of how she would proceed on her hunt that day. It was only when she was in the middle of drinking from the small stream of water that trickled through did she realize she as being watched. Right there, just above the riverbed was the beast she was looking for. It had blended so well in the shadows of the surrounding rock and gnarled trees, she hadn't noticed it at first. There was a moment of tension as she stayed crouched , the thing watching just as intently. It only stayed for a moment before it was racing down to meet her with its claws and she waited with hunting blade. The battle was flurry of jabbing, stabbing, biting and clawing from each end, but Ashira dealt the beast a strike from her tail and introduced it to the stored poison it held. The large dose disorientated the creature, giving her enough time to deal a fatal blow.
Battered yet not broken, she returned to her family with most of what she could carry back and was given a large celebration. Years went by with her being ruler. She enjoyed her responsibilities and the benefits that came with them. She would indulge and sometimes spoil herself, but always she would keep wary and knew of what her title entailed. She ruled with a harder fist than her parents to ensure that though she seemed welcoming, she was not to be tampered with. However, a blade eventually dulls over time, and so did her previous training of what her title entailed and what she must do.
The appearance of the train had her conflicted. It was a time to look forward to, yet it also meant that her power could be jeopardized. Would everyone view her as something insignificant to the wonders that that inventors of the train did? Had her hard work been for nothing? Many a time she had sat at council , yet she did not give much word for it. It was slowly being seen as a threat in her eyes , and though it benefited many, she thought much conflict would come of it, especially to her.
It didn't help either that she had turned into a greedy creature and wanted to be viewed as the race's oh-so-important leader and figure head. To have a silly locomotive best her! It was an unthinkable thought. With paranoia growing, her eventual neutrality on the train subject soon turned to outright rejection. Her want for power fed into greediness. She had worked so hard over the years to maintain her position and protect her people. Times were changing, and to those who ruled over a people with shifty alliances and almost constant conflict, it was very possible that her power could be usurped.
Which it did. Many for the creation and opportunities that the train created began slowly separating those who embraced the old ways and those for technology. Things then turned to Ashira with accusations on how she wanted things for herself , that her people meant nothing, that she wished to keep them ignorant. Violence was not far, especially when Idreth are involved, and she took action. Banishment, imprisonment and punishment of different kinds were handed out, feeding into her anger. Though this eventually led to her downfall when a band of rebels had stormed into her home one day and set out to capture her.
After being overthrown, she lived in secret, hiding on the outskirts of town by the few loyal followers she had. She eventually resorted to changer her appearance ( or what she would allow herself to change). She cut her hair, hid her facial tattoos, and had the patterns on her horns changed. Any royal garb she had been able to take was replaced with less fancier ones and her lifestyle became more nomadic.
Sbe would of had to resort to living in secret for the rest of her life ,and possibly out in the wild, had she not caught wind of a rumor. A rumor of a different train, one not made from Idreth hands, that could travel to different worlds. And though she was not too accepting of being ON a train, it offered her a way to escape and possibly come back with a vengeance. If it could travel to different realms, it would allow her to become stronger. And then, if fate played in her favor, she could return and take back what was hers...
Skills:
|Delusional Injection| : Her tail harbors a very rare poison that, when injected into a body, causes dizziness , disorientating hallucinations and sickness. The poison can’t kill unless the target is given a really big dose. It takes a while for her to regenerate the amount of poison she has used, so she’ll only inject a person once, two people tops, to make sure she doesn't use too much.
|Bone Whip|: Don’t let the length of her tail deceive you. It’s able to stretch double its length easily. The hard bone exterior can be painful and due to having so few nerves in it she can’t feel much pain when it’s used.
Weaknesses:
- Her temper can actually be used against her. Taunting of any kind slowly makes her angry and when enraged, she's less prone to be logical in situations. She thinks more like a predator and doesn't think of her action's consequences. She tries her best to surpress her anger considering it was her anger that was her downfall from the throne.
-Monologuing is a habit that she has and it can actually distract her from what she intended to do/what needs to be done. However, when angry/determined, she seems less prone to being sidetracked.
-Bright flashes can be blinding, thus giving her a greater chance in missing her target
-magic can be effective ( Nex'Harena had little to no magic users)
-Her horns. Horns are an Idreth's pride and joy. She will do what she can so that not a single scratch or scar marks them.

Pets: N/A
Relationships: Outside of her family, everyone has been an acquaintance. She has ran into Mr. Fits and finds that he is nice company ( if you call someone who raced with you through a mine field nice). However, she is still wary of those around her.
Oh this was ironic. Like giving-her-a-bitter-taste-in-her-mouth ironic. To think that the very thing that she believed had caused her her downfall was actually vital to her survival. She would rather fight all the fierce beasts that lurked the wild. At least then she'd look vicious and not have used something which she had rejected for so long.
RP Sample:
Ashira slowly snuck closer to the train station, pulling her cloak tighter to herself. After an hour of observing the street traffic, she chose what she believed was the time that had less Idreth activity. Perched in the window of an empty building, she waited a second before leaping down and hurriedly making a beeline for the open cart door. She stood near the entrance, looking about to see if any had spotted her yet. Nope. No one yet. Taking a deep breath, Ashira took the moment to look back. So many memories through all these many years and now she was being forced out. Her heart ached yet burned with anger. She'd come back. They'd see their mistake. After closing her eyes and feeling that familiar Nex'Harena breeze, she turned and stepped onto this mysterious train. The World Train.
