This is so tragic, but lovely too. I read the fiction in the link you provided, and it just makes me wish there could have been a flashback or something to show Itachi and his lover. It's really a shame that it's just left open for interpretation, but then again, maybe not. Because of the fact that certain things are left either unsaid or not showed but yet mentioned in things like the data books allows for better creative freedom in fanfics, in my opinion

D'awww, I love this! The colors are amazing, the background is beautiful... The focus on Itachi and his lover is great, and Shisui's prescence only serves to highlight the attention on them... (And I'm just happy to see Shisui here, too, he needs more love.^^)
And thank you so much for the dedication, I never would've guessed that the fanfic I linked you to meshed so well with the project you were working on... I didn't even know what you were drawing, after all.^^ It really must've been Fate...
Can't wait to see more from you!^^

I know the focus is on the characters, but I think this is the best background I've ever seen you do! The colors you chose are so very beautiful.

You do know that the Japanese word for "lover" that Kishi used was genderless.... xD
Really, it's a lovely picture. She's cute. As usual your colors are gorgeous.

I have thought about this before!! And wondered because of that ONE phrase... it kills me!
And I totally agree on the female thing, there are two boys for every girl!! Kunoichi are important!!!
Anyways, beautiful expressions of emotion, and the water is extraordinary~

Interesting, what girlfriends could be present when he was only thirteen? How many boys of his age had girlfriends in Konoha?

I love all the atmosphere of this masterpiece Jess the colouring gives it the sensation of cold, reflection, calm and a bit of mystery... Dark is the past of Itachi. Dark like his feelings, cold like his way of doing...We have only this little element about HIS (TRUE)LOVE in the story. Is it the truth? Is it an other "typical"Uchihas' lie?
I think that this element could give us an idea , it's not put in the plot casually...
I'm sure that put this elect to tell us that Itachi is a boy like the others, he've fallen in love like the others, he lived his teen age like the other boys even if he was in a particular situation a had a particular condition (he was a genius, a prodigy, envied and also isolated for his no conventional intelligence..) .He was a thirteen y's old boy, he loved surely somebody ... he loved a lot of people also the people (like his little brother) who envied him , who hated him... He's surely has fallen in love for somebody..
If Tobi's words are true, Itachi's love story seems like a Shakespeare's drama But imho I still think that he didn't kill anyone. Th emission was that, but he tried to do the best to sava all the clan in any case. The truth about "That night" is still hidden , so if there was a girlfriend of Itachi I HOPE he didn't kill her ...In any case I'm sure that she had complete FAITH IN HIM and she believed in him till the end.
About this masterpiece, I love in it all the details, especially Itachi and his girlfriend's facial expression, and also the particular of Shisui (I have a lot of comments to do for all the magnificent collection of deviations about Itachi and Shisui you've made ) , the colors also reminds me the Waterlilies of my beloved Clause Monet ... Everything is suspended as in a dream ..
You're always so great and I really love your art
This masterpiece needs a song for soundtrack [link]
and this one for their love :

Thank you my wonderful friend! For all your kindest words, ideas and the majestic soundtrack, of course!!
I also believe accidental words aren't in Kishimoto's style and this little phrase should have a meaning behind. It MUST have.
And it also makes me happy realizing Itachi was trying to be a human, a normal, loving boy - just like his peers - though ALL the circumstances (and clan's dreams) acted against his SIMPLE dream to act and live like a human, not a living weapon
As for the matter of the whole massacre...
You know what, my dear, the more I correspond with one particular Uchiha lady (who's still very much alive and seeking refuge at one certain Jess' Kirigakure's shrimp farm) and another particular Artist who has no fears in drawing Itachi with short hair - the more I begin to agree and share your ideas of the fact that the Massacre as we know it - is just a word to hide a very complex story behind, probably involving the sharingan's opportunities to time-space-shift people...
Because in my opinion Itachi really DIDN'T kill them, but I believe he used some sort of transportation jutsu to hide them. Anywhere - even in the sort of Tobi's realm (where, you remember, Tobi put Karin to heal Sasuke).
I don't know how to explain it yet but I feel you understand me right as I want you to see what I see
Moreover, I believe the fact that Kabuto didn't resurrect ANY UCHIHAS other than Itachi and Madara, is playing heavily on OUR SIDE.
If they were DEAD - wouldn't Kabs revive them?
Seeing how he revived the other shinobi...
BUT (surprise!) - HE DIDN'T!
Makes me wonder WHY...
The mentioning of Claude Monet makes me feel special and a little proud
I adore the Master, you know
Thank you, dear
p.s. Anticipating your comments about Itachi&Shisui's drawings of mine
