For *14Forever Missing Character fanart contest
Goal:
Create a character to take the place of a character from a fandom or added on a character to a fandom.
Must have the history of the character <...> in the artist's comments.

So, here's my story
First and foremost, I obviously chose Masashi Kishimoto's Narutoverse as one of my current fandoms

The missing character I added to the show is the mystical Itachi Uchiha's girlfriend - the only canon knowledge we have about her - consists of a single Tobi's phrase -[link] - which might as well have been a lie (because c'mon, it's Tobi )

Because the Uchiha clan dangerously lacks female characters , and this saddens me to no end. Had to make up one to compensate the overload of brooding bishies!

I entertain myself with the idea her name could have been Kaiyo, "Forgiveness" 海容 (corrected by *kei-zoku ) as google translator tells us - quite ironic, regarding the fact Itachi had to kill her, and she forgave him nonetheless.

The plot is sad: Itachi comes to tell her he should be leaving for another mission. Because he can't bring himself to tell her the truth - in a few day he'd be killing the whole clan, her included. Inner torment all the way...

Obviously, she sees through his lies (she isn't an Uchiha for nothing) but can't do anything to change his mind and prevent the massacre.

And yes, they're not alone. Not allowed to be alone - Shisui is still alive and is fulfilling his duties spying on Itachi for the clan's glory. The couple is perfectly aware of his presence, and he feels guilty for not giving them privacy... But it's his mission.

The following day Danzo steals Shisui's eye and cuts his hand off.
And some time in the following week the massacre takes place.

The art is dedicated to ~Knight-Dawn who being guided by Fate (no other explanation possible) linked me to the fiction about Itachi and his beloved girl - [link] - RIGHT at the moment I was drawing this image.
