Hey! Sorry I've been so inactive lol Real life's kinda got the best of me. I worked a lot of overtime over the holidays to help pay for student loans and medical expenses, so I've been kinda exhausted. I worked from 6am to 5pm yesterday, came home, and crashed by 7 (which I NEVER do... I usually stay up til midnight even when I work the early shift). Been still writing, but mostly fanlyrics and poetry. So nothing too big. How've you been? Hopefully your holidays went well? ^_^ I mostly spent christmas sleeping in and listening to music lol

Unfortunately, I lost my car on new years. Thanksgiving and Christmas werw alright, both were relaxing at least. I spent new years eve with a friend I have a crush on, and me and him had a lot of fun bowling. On my way home though, it was snowing really bad and I hit some black ice at 30 mph, crashing into a ditch. I'm perfectly alright, but it's pretty stressful. Hopefully your holidays faired a lot better lol

Ahhh!!! I LOVE Voltaire! He did a parody book back in the day called What is Goth completely filled to the brim with delicious sarcasm mixed in with some actual facts. He's also the writer of the song Brains from Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

Sure!  I was actually, funny enough, making a mix for this until 6 yesterday (in the morning... yep, until 6).  I didn't finish it yet, but I'm sending you through email a part of it.  It's going to take a lot more time, and a lot of patience since I don't want to do what I usually do and just mix and render it down and then call it done lol And as for what I thought about it, damn girl, it was chilling.  I liked his slip up, when he accidentally revealed that tidbit about his body.  It was so out of place, and so it's no wonder that Obito sensed something wrong right away.  Oh, and I actually haven't asked in a while, but remember back when you had sent me through notes the conversation Kakashi had about his sensei to Naruto?  Will you be adapting that dialogue to a fic at some point?  Because damn, I just have to say, it was really good too, and seeing a full one-shot made out of that would be really cool at some point.

As for that dialogue, I might have it take place later within the larger story. I was thinking of having an elderly shinobi hallucinate Minato in Naruto's place and thus attack him right in front of the rest of Team Kakashi. This causes significant injury to Naruto, so Kakashi takes him back to Hiruzen, where they're both in a position where they have to tell Naruto the full story, something Hiruzen was hoping wouldn't be until Naruto was an adult.

Ugh, man... damn, so I relistened to it... and just... wow... it not only needs work, it needs a major, major overhaul... I think I was overly ambitious about what songs I chose to fit what I had in mind, but some of it just does not go together.  Like, at all, especially towards the end.  >.<  Some of it, I'm still proud of, but man...  that's kind of sad.  Oh well.  But as for how the mix related to your pawprint, I didn't want it too on the nose this time, but something that could be while listening to it related back to Obito and Minato but then also Kakashi.  The "come near me, don't worry" and "I'll consume you slowly" bits were inspired by his more uncaring, demonic nature, while the "fly on the wings of summer" and all of those bits dueted with the girl were meant to be Obito and his desperation.  The "device" bit was in reference to him being both frustrated and angry with Kakashi's tendency to shun people.  The parts with the "don't want to lose my own reflection" were supposed to be Kakashi, his own desperation finally starting to surface.  But yeah... no... god... just.... I'm kinda disappointed relistening to it, just like.... the beginning was cool, but I should really stick to shorter mixes.  Oh well lol

Also, wow, I mean, that would be an interesting way to incorporate it, definitely.

Lol  Well hey, this is why I'm glad I actually SAVED THIS as a project file instead of just mixing it down like I've done in the past.  Oh man, but I still can't believe how tired I must've been to actually think that was good.  Still though, it's given me some more time to think about what to change, and I'm much more confident about it now and excited for the final mix.  Teehee, it'll be awesome.

Something I realized: that first song you used, "Teratoma", fits Minato perfectly, not only in relation to Kakashi, but everyone else he's deceived, hurt, and killed. Combine it with that last song you used, "The Distortionist", and perhaps Perfect Circle's "Pet ", and we've got one hell of a Minato leitmotif!
