Eskil is one of the new guys for the Zombeid Reboot. His design hasn't changed much since I the first sketches, he used to have a mask cover his mouth (Lower left) But I removed since he looked too much like that guy in Watch Dogs.The hat is still there, when I was a kid I had this character with a cap and Eskil is kinda like a new version of that guy. I like drawing the hat, even when I fuck it up.
He is part of the same group as Remi and Tobias, he is calm and collected, which makes him emotionless and even cold at times. He takes everything very seriously, making him the guy to make the difficult choices.

While the hat is a really nice touch, the thing I like most is the bandaid that shows up in several of these pics. Somehow it adds a hint of vulnerability to his tough and cool looks and I really like the combination. Great job with all those varied poses btw. I totally envy your ability to make them look so natural.

Eskil can be a struggle to get right; he can't look to real, then he won't fit in the comic. And he can't look to cartoony either, that's not his style.Β
But I like drawing him. I especially like his hat, when I was very young drawing caps was the hardest thing in the world. It's nice to be able to draw what I couldn't before.

this maybe my favorite character you designed.
I like how with his hoodie, even from a distance he is recognizable
I won't worry too much about the Aiden look alike in watch dogs
you gave Eskil enough personality with facial expressions and showing what he looks like with and without his hat and hoodie

Thanks. I think it's important for him to be recognizable without the hat as well. Even though he wears at almost all the time.
I'm eager to start working on the comic. But I plan to draw sketches of some of the other characters first.

I think it is the simpler design that makes it so appealing, you can draw in so many different ways, so that it can boost some of the characters feeling.Β You're welcome.

Now that you've told us his personality, I imagine him to be more of there character I would want to see have internal struggles about what he does and how that disconnects him from his humanity. Or helps him reconnect, but what fun is that?
I really like the cap; since pokemon games, caps have been a source of coolness

Yah, I love caps. Β Some of the design is inspired from the gen 2 trainer, even tho Eskil wear the cap like Red.
About his personality, he kinda have inner struggles. But so do almost everyone in the comic, I just don't like focus so much on it. It's a thing that could easily ruin everything.Β
But I'll show why he act the way he do in the comic, I can also say he is gonna be a very important character for Tobias.Β
