I don't have a particularly INSPIRING title for this one.This was a request for ~irukapuppy ; a girl with tall red hair and leaves and twigs stickin' out of it. Preferably not smiling.
I TOOK IT LITERALLY, TO THE NEXT LEVEL, because ummmm I really like deciduous hibernating trees. AND STUFF.
I liked this idea a lot. It was actually one of the FIRST that I drafted out like, two months ago, but didn't get to handle it until now. Which is probably a good thing...considering what I initially had in mind, in terms of technique, would have really been a big ol' mess.
ANYWAY, I hope you like it ~irukapuppy , and I hope all y'alls approve of it too. ... I may end up editing this here and there before I send it out, now that I look at the scan, but it's pretty darn done.

This is above and beyond what I was thinking of when I asked for this picture. I can't stop staring at her. The SKIN is AMAZING!! And her mouth... her whole expression is perfect. I asked for 'not smiling' and you made that an actual expression. I love how the whole picture looks cold, but like it's meant to be cold, you know? It's a natural 'edge of winter' cold. Sleeping trees are very beautiful. <3

I'm trying to finish up ONE MORE request, then I'll be sending every one out all at once. If only I could get over my fear of my last request. >_<
One word of caution, though. Because it is ridiculously cold outside, there is no spray fixatif on it....which means that in time, the pencils may fade. Now I know, and you know, that you do art stuff, too. So if you happen to have an auxiliary can of spray fixatif laying around, you may want to spray some of that stuff onto the illustration when it gets warm enough outside. JUST A SUGGESTION.
It sucks that a medium that I'm slowly getting a handle on is one that I can't seal at all times of the year... >_< Darned pencils.

Ah, good to know. I'll fixative it when it gets warm. I had no idea that it wouldn't take if it was cold. D: No wonder I never got my pictures to stay in place properly.

The can of fixatif has really specific usage directions. As in, you can use it if it is below 50 degrees, and only when it's not humid as hell (and you know, living around here, it gets DAMN humid in the summer).
Especially with the cold weather, I think it would crystalize a lot faster...instead of spray consistently to cover the piece and protect it from smudges.

WELL I guess I ignored that! DIRECTIONS SCHMIRECTIONS. Well, I will be sure to spray it when it gets to be dry and warmer.
And no kidding! It gets so humid you could swim to work. >_< I wish we had a little more wind.
