They give their 2 cents bout Psykers in Warhammer 40K.
And bout that certain farseer of mine.....
see [link]
and equipping her for battle.

Unfortunately this is a Warhammer 40000 thing, so most of you won't really know what it's about.

For the few of you that do..... Have fun......

Undivided comic, as most of you will know, has a lot simpler art.
May dedicate to scraps later.

Lucky you
Though said rules changed since 4th ed.

That said I'd not fielded psykers yet cause of horrid luck with psychic tests.

Right now, I'm in the collecting and assembling phase, so I haven't been able to play much. I will be using a Librarian in my SM force however.

lolz. happy doing so.
Mine happens erratically so I have tonz of models in all stages of assembly and painting.

I need to get more organised.

I still need a modelling workbench to work at, so anything dealing with models (besides photos) is on hold at the moment. Probably won't be able to get at it until late August.

I never knew that you were in a military force before. I suppose it kind of figures if much of what you have is related to combat in some way.

Oh yes. All Singaporean males (yes males only. it's unfair) are conscripted after 18 years old for 2 years approx. So well, over weekends on duty you often have endless amounts of time with nothing to do........

Lol. well, they did really. there's a few of them.
Though too bad they didn't really represent the self-destruction aspect.

lol true. till the latest patch fixed it.
before then was so fun when they blew up themselves... not anymore though.

MisterScourge In reply to Snowfyre [2008-10-26 01:43:35 +0000 UTC]

Actually, the psykers are still supposed to explode. But in Dawn Of War the latest patch, it isn't say their game is working perfectly. It has so many glitches, especially in the Campaign. My brother was so fed-up with the glitch that he decided that he is gonna wait for the new patch if not he is not gonna play the game.

Too bad Iron Lore Entertainment has gone burst; it is unlikely they will release another new patch.

Spoiler: The psyker (This is not a glitch) when casting his abilities, only the strip soul could backfire. If he is casting that spell, you realise there's a reddish glow around him, don't even flee. Click the stop button and it will stop. It will not explode. Try again another time till you see the spell casted successfully. If it tries to explode again, reclick the button.

Sometimes, a psychic explosion can blow a dent in your enemy. So wait till the time when the psyker cast a strip soul and shows signs of exploding. Stop him. Then run to the enemy base, cast it on a unit (Strip Soul). It has a 80% chance it will explode again. If it doesn't, you can continue on the spell, or halt and retry again till it explodes.

Snowfyre In reply to MisterScourge [2008-10-26 01:55:21 +0000 UTC]

Lol well, if you read the tweaks they the IG psykers don't explode anymore (Yes, I played all the dawn of war things since, I'd known bout the psykers frying himself and I like to see him kill himself really ) . Long back in winter assault they used to have a chance of exploding but somewhere in dark kroosade they removed that chance of self-destructing. Pity.

Though that trick sounds fun. Though my favourite is still the burna bomb... Ooo mushroom cloud...

On the table top version my farseer keeps killing herself (even with the ghost helm, I keep failing that save).
cause for some unknown reason I very commonly roll double 1s or double 6s when using their psychic abilities.

My friendz nickname her the Melon busta
for popping her own head all the time.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MisterScourge In reply to Snowfyre [2008-10-26 02:08:58 +0000 UTC]

LOLZ, farseer burns their own head. Librarians are better. (Chaos Sorcerers gain if the daemons help them eh?)

Burna Bomb! That is a glitch man! In the old patch, you apply fighting juice to your mad dok, you plant the burna bomb. Remember, if the burna bomb is dismantled on time, you don't get to explode it. So you click on the burna bomb and hit the delte key; instant and devastating explosion I guarantee you.

In Dawn Of war, the Farseer seems to keeps her head intact.

Snowfyre In reply to MisterScourge [2008-10-26 02:18:33 +0000 UTC]

Well, in the previous edition of warhammer 40000 they got instant-death which is annoying cause your HQ blew up. now it's not so bad.

Yes, burna bommz are fun. you put figthin' juice when you're loosing, plant the bomm and BOOM! Everyone flies away

Next codex, the WAAAGH! is a triggered, once-a-game ability. Gives all orks fleet.

Cool-makes 'em faster, right?

Most of what I know about WH40K is fluff, unfortunately. I could probably write an Ork novel, but I sure as hell couldn't play a game.

Hey. Orks are made for funny and smash. So unless they've stopped smashing, started dressing in black, and bemoaning the universe, I'd still play 'em.

Emo orks. the idea is horrifiying.

mmm..... that reminds me the 'eadbang!..... -sigh- my wyrdboy always goes bang when trying to summon the "gork get 'em".... its like... "ok boyz, letz fokuz the Waagh! in only one shoot and den ...... BANG!!!".... there goes 75 points of greenskin............ and the funny thing, he was my last unit..... really priceless event.

Snowfyre In reply to fullmetalboss [2007-11-08 01:48:58 +0000 UTC]

Ah yes,
we sometimes refer to these events as well..... Melon busta.... ( Also sometimes mind war is called 'Melon busta' too. )

Unfortunate, but least not as expensive as the farseer (163 pts? )

Also thanks for the fav.

Melon Busta???..... it sounds strange..... I lIKE IT!!!!

Which would be a good name for a wyrdboy??, I think i will be starting using it again (the new orks will be ready soon ) and maybe Ill give it a shoot, since he become the hero of the turn when blows a landraider in the first try. the next turn he blows hi head of, trying to burn the terminators.
