On this solemn day of inauguration, we witness History in the making.. the fall of capitalism, the rebirth of socialism, and the unfettered expansion of the federal government.. Higher taxes, dependent people whose sole purpose is to receive a check from the government in return for votes.. Union rule, expensive schools with bad teachers and students in the richest country in the world with the lowest education..socialized health care, Government owned private enterprises.. and control.. more liberty removed, more lawyers and law suits.. more control.. more still more!! loss of military strength around the world.. and soon... very soon.. another attack on our home land.. with the chief diplomacy negotiator.. but can you negotiate with those who only seek to destroy you and your kind?? we shall see..Ahh the glorious Liberal empire of division through issues, and the use of Political correctness.. from hence forth I am no longer to be called a White Guy, or White period..
I will only accept the term EUROPEAN AMERICAN!! for we are all now divided into some issue or group..
Today I mourn the passing of the fundamental importance of this once great country...

hahahaha everything you mentioned has definitely happened. and its only gotten worse in his second term. I still believe they cheated to win in the second. too much admittance of people voting up to 5-8 times and convicts voting along with illegal immigrants. not to sound insulting but back in 2008 almost every african american in my town was all up and going "praise obama" and causing shit all over town acting like they rule the white people because the president is black. Now they all just clam up and shut up now. even they see it but it wont stop the hoods in my area from bettering themselves and thats including the whites and hispanics. they complain about the education yet even back when I was in high school most of the street and hood kids were just goofing around beating the crap out of everyone and bragging about their assistance checks and flaunting wads of money and gambling in the mens room. Now the college I go to is trying to force the christian club off campus but has no qualms about the other religious clubs. they even tried to accuse the republican club of selling drugs. this country is a heap now. glad to see not everyone on da is a fascist. I always thought it was funny that liberals preach free speech yet try to opress people who disagree with them and shut them up and threaten them.

To paraphrase a comment I've seen elsewhere, the right wing acts like we're on a political see-saw and the Democrats are hanging off the left end of it. In reality, they've pulled the board so far to the right that both parties are on one side, and the Republicans are adding more wood to their end while yelling that the liberals are extremists.
If Reagan were running today, he would be considered too liberal to be elected as a Republican.

I have to say, do you really think portaying him as a demon is fair or accurate? The man hasn't done a very good job, but then a bunch of presidents haven't, and I'm pretty sure Obama is well-meaning! If anything, he has flawed ideas and procedures. Like spending trillions trying to bail out the car companies which sunk themselves and should be left to flouder as their own punishment.
Obama is not a socialist though.
And I am a total supporter of liberty! The problem is, if the huge corperations are given too much freedom, they tend to abuse it and do anything they like to mkae more money, regardless of its effect on the envionment or economy. Greedy people will always be greedy.

Franklin Roosevelt was called a socialist when he was president, and he is considered one of the greatest presidents in U.S. history. I'm not saying what Obama is doing is going to make him the greatest president in U,S, history, but we've had much worse presidents (Richard Nixon, James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson just to name a few) and we've had better (Theodore Roosevelt, George Washington, Abraham Linclon just to name a few). Right now, I'd put him in the somewhere between the 22-28 rank.

Sometime, I wish the Army had never sent me to live in a socialist country for a few years. I took me years to admit it to myself -- that people in socialist countries experience more freedom than most of us will ever know here in the "land of the free." The ill-effects of the corporate regime's attacks on higher education are most evident in the empire's homeland. Many Americans have no working definitions for the words "socialism," "capitalism," or anarchism. If ONLY Obama was a socialist... he's just another finance-sector sponsored corporatist-capitalist ruler. But the conservative strategy is brilliant. I'm guessing you object to totalitarianism. Me, too. For you describe a vision of totalitarian socialism. Odd thing is, it sounds awfully similar to totalitarian capitalism. Then it becomes a matter of which master you'd rather serve. Most Americans are, very much indeed, stuck at one station in life; ambition is discouraged at every level and chains of debt are forged for life via the "taxation" of your feudal-corporate masters -- most of whom don't pay taxes, and who probably party on their yachts and celebrate their offshore accounts.
"Big government" let my dad join the Air Force, get a college education and get his family out of the Dust-Bowl of southwest Kansas. He busted butt, worked hard, and played by the rules... a damn-good American bubba who lived long enough to his retirement sucked dry by the private market, and long enough to be screwed by a private medical system that couldn't diagnose him with Lou Gehrig's disease until six months before he died.

I suppose I am rushing to judgment on your earlier comments..I think I have spent quite a bit of time outside the US, you see my parent were military, so I am no back woods bubba who has no inkling as to what I am saying..Neither am I naive..
I am sorry for our father.. it seems that if he were in another country say Canada, or England he would have still been waiting inline to get health care, and would have died without knowing what is was that killed him..If you read allot online and research the ideas and problems put forth in political debates, then you realize free health care is not free, money comes from somewhere to pay those "free" programs government sets up..and those "free" programs come out of everyone's pockets, and most of all those corporations who "never" pay taxes..
which is simply not true, most of them pay high taxes..
they just suck at the tit of which Politician who will guarantee a .5% reduction in what they pay.. in reality had we true capitalism, the economy and personal wealth of all of US citizens would be much more then what we see today.
the Progressive (I say regressive) income tax is set up to specifically berate and control the American populace..
where we able to get the political class to relinquish their hold on the taxation powers, and got a flat and fair tax system on consumption, then we would truly be free people.
competition would keep the costs low, and the market would be brimming with free enterprises..imagine working a job and keeping all of your paycheck money. then you could buy what ever health care plan you wanted across state lines, with health care incentives and accounts to grow your money tied to sound and solid government bonds and or the choice of free stock options that are proven beneficial...you gain interest in the health care account as you pay in, and so on..
imagine making your full paycheck and spending the money to do what you want.. I am smarter then the government, and I would take that Fica, and income tax and put it to other use..I could invest it somewhere, and make a good return enough to build my own nest egg, or become a company owner, the taxes I Pay on what I buy would then be able to go to the small social programs for those who can not physically do anything themselves.. the estimated wealth that would return from over seas and which would come to the USA is about 14 trillion dollars, and it would set up the world's only tax shelter, which could benefit us greatly..
If you don't think Obama is a socialist, I can not convince you.. and I am not going to try to. I don't know you and you don't know me, and I certainly don't have any animosity towards you..I used to be a liberal, peace and wealth across the world..but I see the corruption, and how throughout history the population of the world has suffered under nany states and state run centralized government.. where the politicians get richer and the businesses get poorer until all the money is gone and dried up.. and life has become unbearable.. I have friends who lived in Russia, it is a great example of it, and Germany has had it's problems too, even in the E.U. look at spain, and Greece, their entitlement mentality has driven their economic situation to bankruptcy..

The major rally today in Washington is the liberal party and interest groups who supported Obama.. SEIU, CARE, and others are there to rally..INCLUDING the US Communist Party..
so Say what you will, and believe what you want, but if there is a communist party who allies with Obama's main supporters, then what is the common denominator? what would make a communist join forces with other interest groups to support the president?? well communism, is just a different form of socialism.. so not just on that basis, but a good example of why I believe Obama is a socialist.. not to mention the cover of newsweek magazine that stated quite clearly "we are all socialists now" and explained why and how Obama's policies would lead to that, and how it was supposedly good for America..

I agree that nothing too great can come from a one-sided government. I'm sixteen, but I see Obama isn't the best president, which is pointed by many folks around. Our President Barack Obama is our president, we might regret it now, or even in the future, but Obama was the better candidate in the election. As far as John Mccain is concerned he was a soldier not a leader, the way I see it, you can be a good leader and you can be a good soldier, not both.
Also the situation is completely messed up, and it was pre-determined. the 90s was supposedly one of the best decades(economically), and if I learned anything from hours of mass effect 1 & 2 gameplay when you reach prominance you are doomed to fall, which happened in the new millennium, and it also happened in the 1920s also known as the Roaring Twenties, and the downturn was the 30s, or rather the era of the GREAT DEPRESSION.
I'm a sixteen year old kid who slept through most of American History class. I'm also a black kid who was happy to get a HALF black president. I know nothing of politics, I know my world is supposed to be run by money. I also lost my point in this if you find it let me know where it is.

Uh... our society was already a bit socialist before Obama became president. I can think of countless examples of socialism in America that work very well: the fire department, the public school system, municipal water and power services, social security, airports, sports arenas, government-funded universities, US tax code, unemployment insurance, worker's compensation, disability insurance, health insurance, bank deposit insurance, Medicare, etc....

Water, Fire, and Sewer you pay them directly.. it is a service
Water is not required by law..
Fire, that is necessary.. and is part of the State's responsibility.. and their localities.. not the Federal Government..
Power services are provided by companies not the local or Federal government..
Sports arenas should not be paid for by tax payers..
Universities should not be Government funded..
the US tax code (progressive tax) serves to redestribute wealth.. the Fair Tax should be what we go to, which keeps the power out of the politicians hands and keeps in in ours.. Jefferson and Adams both supported a fair tax of some sort.

unemployment is from the Government.. and is okay because it is a hand up, not a hand out, and I do believe as a conservative, that a safety net is nice..but not government control..
