A little something I drew for my best German friend or (Which ever account she decides to be on) for all the Sketchy drawings she's done!This is my way of saying thank you!

I assume you meant "das"?
It's a form of "the"; one of three, to be exact. The German language has a feminine, a masculine and a neutral article:
"Der" is masculine (e.g. Der Mann (man), Der KΓΌnstler (artist), Der Kindergarten)
"Die" is feminine (e.g. Die Frau (woman), Die Katze (cat), Die Schadenfreude)
"Das" is gender neutral (e.g. Das Tier (animal), das Bild (picture), Das Oktoberfest).
And then there are plural forms. I won't get into those, I'm no german teacher.
In this particular case, while "das Lederhosen" sounds definitely more hilarious, it would actually be "die Lederhose" (singular) or "die Lederhosen" (plural).
All in all, German is confusing (especially because of all the specific declension , but you can sometimes be much more accurate while using less words (since many words have a different form for different genders).
