It should have been modified in a way that would allow it to pump out more dakka, but even then it would still not be enough dakka.

A favorite WW2 "modification" was to put four in a halftrack with a powered turret and use it as an antiaircraft gun. Β But then they ran out of german planes to shoot at, so they used the AA halftracks as fire support weapons instead. Β The Germans hated the M2 throughout WW2; strapping four together, the Allies could only call it "the Krautmower." Β So, there's more dakka. Β
