Aaah, Siehn this is so gorgeous! What an awesome gift to give to a family member-- a photo, recaptured perfectly in drawn form. That's something special, and I wish I had this kind of talent especially with recreating humans. I really like your use of highlights to capture their wrinkles and features, especially the older gentleman's (your grandpa? :3) smile. They both look like really sweet guys, aww... <3

<33 Thaaanks. Heh, actually it's probably more like...three photos cobbled together because I had to use them for various parts of the faces. Ahman, I totally surprised myself with this, honestly. I'm super, super proud of it and my uncle and his dad loved it, or so I hear. Now I just gotta finish up my aunt's. And yeah, they are super sweet. x3

Aaah, you're welcome! I think you did an ace job on it. Part of being a good artist is being able to mix and match resources, and I think you used these pics well. Haha, I never would have been able to tell! <3

I like your art.
It feels like you used a little bit to much white tones, was it from a photoreference?
Anyways it's gud.

Thanks!
Yes, it was from two different photos; the younger one I think def has too much of the white, I think, or at least in the pic I took. You can't tell so much looking straight on the paper, but I think the light caught it when I took the pic. Ah well; things to keep in mind for next-go-round. Thanks for commenting!
