Description
The end of the first day came slow, creeping up on them like the exhaustion seeping into their newly-mortal bones, dragging them further and further down. The two former gods sought shelter from the hectic sky as it sought to settle itself with the help of their sister's ravens, but found only a small sapling growing slowly by a small stream flowing down the cliff side. It offered little protection from the elements, and so the two poured a little of their own essence into tree, willing it to grow tall and strong, and thus it did, sharing the divine power with other saplings nearby, and bringing them up with it. The tree grew until it could provide shelter, its bark riddled with gold and silver veins in homage to the gods. Satisfied, the two curled up together beneath their young tree, resting weary bones and aching muscles; as they rested, yet more power seeped from them into the earth around them, saturating all that it touched.

They slept on, warm and comfortable despite the danger of their brother, and the unknown of the world coming to life around them.

So, this is a scene from basically, Tkini's creation, when the gods came down and Tempest and Arri first took a mortal form to hide from their brother, Irrit, the Void.

It's...Somewhat traditional for a Tkini picture of Tempest and Arri to be done around abouts now, though usually a bit later in the month, as we generally celebrate the 18th as Tkini's 'birthday' because it falls in between TheVeggieSalad 's and mine.

So, I technically already got her birthday present, but this is definitely half for her. About FOURTEEN OR FIFTEEN YEARS ago, I ran into someone on neopets who wanted to roleplay their character, named Arrinial. So, I volunteered my character, Tempest. AND HERE WE ARE, years and years later, with a whole universe and an amazing story and one of the most defining relationships of my twenty-six years.

I love you, mein Buddeh; here is to many, many more years. <333
