Description β€œWhat matters in a clan, what really matters, is not where you put your beliefs, or if you were born pure; what matters in a circle of any belonging is that you are loyal, blood-first or not.” - excerpt from Ice.

From my original fiction: Sona'ae is a gentle, sure-minded young dragoness, a strict pacifist in the time of brutal war.

Her parents were both warriors. Her father died before she hatched, and her mother, driven mad by his loss, was consumed with the desire to return to the fighting. Sona'ae chose the herb-growers' path because she could not bear to hold the power of life or death over anyone or anything, and because she was frightened of Karda'duhr, the Red Curse, befalling her too.

She is very close to her brother, Hami'ile, and nurtures a special friendship with Kire'ey, the young Icestorm outsider adopted into the Lusala.

She is beautiful! I... really think this might be one of the, if not the, most wonderfully designed dragon I've ever seen. The gentle blue and white of her scales is a lovely colour scheme, and I love her sort of compact but graceful build. And her calm, almost wistful expression, is great. She looks, and sounds, like a fantastic character!
(I'm going to have to hashtag our #spookypsychiclink again, because... she also reminds me of Arnor. )

Literally, I kid you not, I was going to put Sona'ae = Arnor . #SPL at the bottom of this, because reading over the little description I'd put I realized just how similar she was to Arnor only in that moment. Then I thought again, since Arnor's parents were entirely different to Sona'ae's.
Super glad you like her! And I nailed that posture, didn't make her look sad (was slightly worried about her expression, but it came across right...) Yes!! Thanks for that

Well, they both lost one parent, and had the other become pretty angry about it... and are friends with the heroine...
She does look a bit sad, in a calm way - I feel like she's reflecting on the war, and maybe what happened to her parents, and sort of accepting it all. Alternatively, she could be just thoughtfully examining that herb. Either way, her expression is beautiful.
