DAY 4
"Wow, this was crazy today... We have been on the Outlaws' tail for the whole day, continued searching for traces, and so on. I
think we made up much ground on them.
Riding was... exhausting. I didn't expect the temperatures to rise that much, the last day was... brisk compared to the weather
today!
When we arrived atop of the canyon, I could see the Outlaws. There were many. The whole time I thought that we're in
majority, I doubt that now... But I'm sure that we would have captured them all, if not... yeah, somebody blew up the entrance to
the canyon, so we were seperated from the Outlaws.
But the explosion! I have to admit - for some minutes I was in fear for my life. Horses startled and bolted, some riders fell
down, the horses running away headless... I just hoped that it would stop soon. I mean - how dangerous that was!
Blue was amazing. Yes, she was scared and winced, but she didn't run away. As she knew what was at stake... wow. just wow.
She just receded a few steps, I managed to calm her a little bit. But - if there hadn't been this stallion behind her! He was
terrified as every other horse, but when Blue bumped into him, that was the final straw. He reared a bit, then he kicked after
her. Blue wasn't fast enough, he hit her leg. Everything was just crazy in this moment, I couldn't think properly! But when most
of the horses calmed down, we all could breath again. Then the next shock came - Blue limped a bit! For a moment I thought I
had to quit the trail. That was... just terrifying. I dismounted and surveyed her legs. I really didn't know what to do!
Fortunately, we just had to walk a little bit more until we arrived at our camping place. I cooled Blue's leg and took her round, it
seemed to get better. Let's see what it'll look like tomorrow..."
