Description
Chapter 7 of my fan fic, Honor and Glory which is on hold for the time being. I'm getting some awesome ideas that I want to put in it XD here's the chapter anyway if you want to read [link]I started sketching this a few weeks ago and only came to finishing it about uh, several days ago. This wasn't the original plan, actually. The concept I had in mind for the scene was way different than this one but I got tired of it, I guess. I enjoyed coloring Shen and his tail feathers. I have the art book to thank for letting me have the details right, especially his metal feet cover. Fail on the halberd though, it was supposed to have 4 curve things. Their anatomy isn't at their best here yet, though. I was in the middle of peafowl development. LOL. Darn beaks.
Prang watercolors, unipin 0.5 and 0.2, lighting adjustments on Photoshop + the watermark.

Dear God. I can't wait to actually watch Kung Fu Panda 2 so I'm able to read your fanfic, because this sounds/looks EPIC! D:
Now I get what you wanted to do, regarding that sketch of them training... It's an AWESOME concept you used here *-* They both look like they're in a serious battle and want to kill each other for sure! xD Jiang's expression and pose look deadly, and so does Shen, I can really feel the whole action and tension here... The way you've drawn them is very dynamic and flowy, once again, it's almost like I can see them moving! *o* I also completely loved how you've drawn those swirls like water behind Jiang, and the fire on Shen's side, even though it took me a couple of moments to notice it <3 It's so fitting for each of them, and gives an even heavier "battle" feel to this pic, with the whole sides thing.
And what a freaking incredible work you've done with the watercolor here!! *__* The coloring looks so gorgeous, and all the shading, highlights and effects are too beautiful, you have a real talent for this *o* It looks like an authentic battle painting, or an official artwork, even better. <33 All the forms and shapes seem well done and in the perfect place, and the weapons, aaghfafshgajsgdasjg, I don't even know what to say anymore!! >w<
I could stay here forever admiring this and describing all the awesome things on it.

Just be conscious of the diluting it in water and stuff. XDD I hated watercolors until our professor taught us how to use them properly |D
