Yep, Lord Shen from "Kung Fu Panda 2" impressed me a lot! He costed me a lot of emotions, but the one that i love him won in the end
Somehow his bright personality and desperate desire to win gave me association with meteorite - it's so blazing and impetuous, and nothing can stop it till it burns into ash... So sad that Lord Shen had to die

there is a possiblity he survived you know, like the wood beneath him could have gave way and the cannon would have just pushed him under water, he would still be hurt, but alive.

Very nice picture.
I know I'm in a muinority when I say this but in many ways I think Lord Shen was a far superior villain to Tai Lung.
Don't get me wrong, Tail Lung was good. He was threatening, had a good backstory and provided a real challenge for the hero to overcome. But his interactions with Po were limited to the final few minutes of the movie and even then they didn't have much dialogue to establish any kind of rivalry.
Tail Lun, to me, always seemed to be more Shifu's nemesis rather than Po's, largely because of their backstory together.
Shen on the other hand was a perfect rival for Po. He was a capable fighter, he was smart and manipulative. he had a far more sympathetic element to him with regard to his banishment by his parents and actually had a connection to the history of the hero, and whose actions led him to where and who he is today. That makes Po's triumph over him that much more meaningful and engaging in my eyes. Not to mention the fact that he had a psychological edge over him for most of their encounters together.
Plus, making a snow leopard intimidating is easy, but making a peacock intimidating? That takes real talent on the part of the film-makers.
Props too to Gary Oldman for providing a superb performance with his voice.
But if you disagree, I'm fine with that too.

Очень красивая картина! И цвета, и композиция, и сам Шень - всё так органично и выигрышно смотрится!
Жаль, что создатели мультфильма решили лишить бедного Шеня хэппи-энда (а ведь шансы были, при такой-то козе под боком!). Кажется, что и здесь, на рисунке, жадные языки пламени желаний обступили лорда Шеня плотным кольцом, из которого тому уже не выбраться. Но робкие цветы сакуры как будто обещают, что всё ещё может быть хорошо...

Да очень жаль, но все же остается маленькая-премаленькая надежда, что он все таки выжил (лично мне хотелось бы верить, что волчий босс не умер, и успел вытащить Шенгя из-под пушки как настоящий преданный друг - может от того, что и По, и волчий босс его простили, Шень бы наконец нашел свой внутренний покой
