Hey sorry for the super late reply. These are almost exclusively made as a hobby / for my own portfolio. Some designs are sold afterwards, though.
Glad to hear you like them!

Comfy, I like the look, but given the size, maybe its a nice replacement backup pistol if one wanted to compared to a standard mill Glock-19 or anything.Β

What size battery does the light/laser take?

It has a built in battery you need to charge.
This way the battery could be bigger and in different shapes than standard user changeable batteries.

Yeah, it's a lot less "noisy." And one of the STO starship designers is on there, so that was a nice bonus find when I signed up

Interesting pistol, pretty good in terms of ergonomics but wouldn't a 10mm be better due to the proliferation of combat drugs?

The U.S. military just selected the winchester XM1153 special purpose cartridge (a 147 grain jacketed hollow point) for the M-17 and M-18 modular
handgun system . And before anyone starts to argueΒ "but that's illegal" SOCOM lawyers successfully argued a case in the 90's that the sierra 7.62 matchking hollow point and the winchester 230 grain JHP were not designed to cause "unnecessary pain and suffering" and he rounds were shipped to the field.

Actually there is no rules lawyering around it, all hollow points are banned in a military setting. Period, end of story. No ifs, ands, or buts.

The U.S. never ratified that part of the Hague convention of 1899 (section III part IV.3). And if the case of using hollowpoints is pressed, and
not allowed because of an antiquated and incorrect idea that they "cause unnececessary suffering" then every solder carrying an AK-74 can
be charged for war crimes. the 5.45x39 that it fires is designed to tumble when it hits soft tissue. if I remember correctly i t was gun expert
and former delta operator Larry Vickers that saidΒ the 5.45 was the closest anyone has come to chambering an an assault rifle in .50 cal. The
round is called the "poison bullet" for a reason.
