Since then, Noriko has dedicated her life to Chinese martial arts, becoming proficient in multiple forms of Southern Chinese martial arts, her core teachings being Southern Dragon Kung Fu, Luohan Quan and Hou Quan. These teachings make Noriko a formidable striker, as all three forms focus on offensive moves weaved into defensive techniques, which will ultimately lead to her doing rapid fire punches to an undefended opponent until they fall.

Noriko's life was a simple one, until the day Nofre-Ra came to her temple. Embittered by her loss to Alice, Nofre was here to fight, and one-by-one, Noriko watched as Nofre decimated her fellow peers, and then her masters, before finally rising up to the challenge herself in pure anger.

And she fell just as fast as the others.

Years of training felt like wasted time as Noriko lay beaten on the floor, writhing on the floor as Nofre added each and every one of the Shaolin to her arm bands. A huge boost to Nofre's victories, and her ego. And then Nofre left as fast as she arrived.

Shattered and irate, Noriko trained harder than ever, in secret. Her pupils, her masters, had all moved on from the encounter, but Noriko could not let it go. She felt insulted. But despite all her hard work, Noriko saw no progress. Frustrated with a lack of increasing technique, Noriko sought out her master's advice, who sat her down and gave her a bitter truth.

"You might not ever beat this woman. But training your body while your mind is ailing will only drag you down further."

Noriko swallowed the bitter pill, knowing that her master was right, and so after contemplation, Noriko left the temple on a journey to grow, not as a fighter, but as a person. Time away from the temple did her a world of good. She travelled around the world, training in her spare time, but she chose to get away from fighting, to clear her mind.

Eventually, she travelled to London, where she stayed in a suburb rife with deliquency, where kids would fight each other for petty squabbles, and turn on the adults when they interfered. But Noriko was not some narc, she was a seasoned warrior, and when she encountered delinquents, she saw it fit to teach them a lesson. A quick takedown of a ringleader sent the pack scattering, in her experience. And to her surprise, the community thanked her for it.
This lead to Noriko being approached by a woman named Arizona. She was the owner of a youth gym, and after explaining what she was aiming to do, Noriko felt like she had finally found her purpose. Nowadays she teaches at Arizona's gym, teaching kung fu, adapting it to other styles to suit her student's interests, and most importantly, teaching them the benefits of discipline through respect and meditation.

Noriko met Iris through this gym, and the two became fast friends through their natural senses of justice, and Noriko aims to help Iris fight her own battles, being moral support and a sparring partner for the girl.
