The older sister of Georgia Blackburn. Much more relaxed, easy-going and open than her little sister. Alice was everything her sister aspired to be. It didn't matter what it was, Alice just naturally out-performed Georgia. As a result, she gained a lot of attention from her peers. Alice appreciated the attention, but she didn't want or need it. She was just herself and it came to her. A selfless person at her core, Alice doesn't know how to let other people handle their own problems. She is constantly sticking her nose into other people's business and helping them as much as she can. This caring, yet nosey attitude, alongside her inviting personality, allowed her to easily befriend people.Alice, however, is also fairly oblivious to people's emotions. She has no idea how jealous her sister is of her, completely misinterpreting Georgia's attempts at one-upping her as a sisterly rivalry. She treats it as such because, despite all of their differences, Alice loves her little sister and stood by her during their childhood, teaching Georgia fun things like how to style her hair, and how to stitch the sock-puppets that Georgia loves.
Alice’s relationship with her parents, however, was a different story. They constantly pressured her to be the best at anything she tried. They were the very reason she was "so good at everything". They constantly pushed and pushed every expectation onto Alice's shoulders. The reward for doing well was usually unfulfilling, shallow, or nonexistent. Alice felt like they were controlling her, trying to live vicariously through her. This came to a head during Alice's teenage years, where one lecture about doing better pushed her too far. One very heated argument drove the wedge in their relationship, and Alice packed up her belongings and left her family in total disgust. She never looked back, colourfully exclaiming that she was never coming home. She never even gave herself the chance to properly say goodbye to her little sister. A decision she regrets. Over the 5 years, they separated. Alice worked many odd jobs, building up her skills and physical strength, bulking up and becoming more level-headed and street-smart. This change in her appearance gained her the attention of her now-coach and manager, who offered her a chance to become a boxer, believing she could become a champion. Having nothing else to do, and in need of more permanent employment, Alice accepted. She loved it. Not just the fighting, but the adoration she gained from her fans was unlike any of the attention she got before. It felt genuine to her. She basked in it, fighting for them more than herself. Eventually, she toppled the entire competition, becoming the new Australian champion, breaking the current holder's record of 5 years.
For all this success and praise, however, it truly did not fill the hole in her heart. Alice never forgave herself for abandoning Georgia. She tried over the years to return home and reconcile with her, but time and again she couldn't bring herself to face what she'd left behind and with each attempt, it hurt more and more. The gravity of her actions weighed harder each time. Alice realised that she had most likely doomed Georgia to the same fate she would have had, and could only hope that her younger sister could handle it.
This changed, however, when she had witnessed first hand her sister's third boxing bout. For the first time in years, she had the chance to see what had become of her sister, but what she saw shocked and crushed her. The joyful, spirited sister who she had so many fond memories of had been replaced with a bitter, vengeful...monster. Alice felt overwhelmed with guilt upon seeing what Georgia had transformed into. She was a whole new person and Alice could not help but shake the feeling it was all her fault.
In boxing, Alice is akin to a brick wall. Sturdy and defensive, able to take the hardest of blows and rarely, if ever, be fazed. Preferring to fight from a distance, she uses her long limbs to throw crushing straights and hooks, preferring to win the endurance game than going for straight knockouts.
