So my father-in-law had a birthday last month and I didn't know what to get him. If you remember, he has a yellow lab named Jenny and the whole family just adores her, so I thought it'd be fun to draw her!This is the first traditional piece I've done in quite a long while, so...its very flawed. But man did it feel good to draw lol. I only spent like 3 hours on it or so...
He loves it and I'm happy about that! I kinda wanna do a whole Jenny series lol. She's fun to draw!

did you see that tattoo i gave myself? lol it's that "pink panther" kitty you drew that's me! hehe yeah ima dork and tattooed it on my leg thinking about a fish bone. . . =] my husky is super funny, she's my baby pretty much... hehe aww i'm so excited you're going to be a mommy!!! you're going to be the best mom! and the little one is going to be super talented! i forsee it! =]

wwoooww!!..she is SOOO pretty!!...what did u draw with??...normal pencils?..it doesnt seem like charcoal!..hey one suggestion, try to add more shadow and highlights to it!..you know, it has a lot of grey..would have looked better if there was more black and white to it!..i feel so!..

Yeah, there's a lot more I would have wanted to do, but I only had a few hours to work on it so I did the best I could lol. And she's a yellow lab so I didn't want to make her too dark...but I'll remember that for the next time I draw her lol!

This is gorgeous! I love the texture of fur around her eyes.
The only critique I can offer is that the background should be darker or lighter. Right now, she sorta blends in to her surroundings. (unless that's what you were going for.) Other than that, great job. 8)

Yeah, I shoulda fixed that. I just was rushed to get it done and there's a lot more I would have liked to do to it. Plus its been awhile since I've done a traditional piece so I was scared lol. Thanks though! I appreciate the critique and I'll remember it!

This is beautiful. I really love how you captured that unique hair patterning/texture under the eyes that labs and shepherds have. (probably more species as well)

Yeah, I was happy with how that turned out lol. There's a lot with the piece I'd have liked to fix, so I'll just have to draw her more lol
