Originally done on paper, plain old pen, most of it drawn free hand with pen directly, not pencils! >
Colors and shading were thrown in on Photoshop. And yes, I mean thrown. This was more something on composition, lines, and patterns, pretty coloring would've made the piece too complex and distracting, thus the rather monochromatic colors and the lack of shading for the most part. >< I know, total artist babble. No, that is not a Maiko, maiko are too sweet, I just simply choose a Maiko-esque hair do, namely the momoware style. It's one of my characters(Setaiha) with her hair done up in a style similiar. This is something a little different then I normally upload, this kind of babble is usually left to rot in my sketch books, but I really liked the composition of this one, and it wasn't utter babble sketching, there's some reaccuring motifs and story elements. ><

Fantastic vibrant color. Full of energy and terror.
The only negative thing I could say is that the composition is slightly off, I think. The lower right corner should perhaps have a bit of white space for asymmetry in that lower area.

This one is wonderful. Ive always had a soft spot for collage type doodles. It reminds me of something I would have drawn long ago in a class or something. Althou alot better of a job!!

The strong reds and blacks in this are very symbolic of asian styling and decor, which lends itself very well to this concept. The multiple perspective all combine very well and they almost tell a short story... the red in blurred perfectly, but the black blurs near the bottom seem to be cover up, they don't flow in to the composition as well. Your line art is also above average, but doens't seem to exhibit a great sense of proportion. The vignette is quite distracting and detracts from the composition.

The black blurs were indeed used to cover up the bad scanning. I discussed that with another user. I have a good scanner, but unfortunately, my sketchbook is a little bigger then the scanner, which tends to make it screw up. The lines are bad simply because I have carpel tunnel, my hands shake very badly, and this was also before I discovered the joy of a grease pen for touching up the nasty little messes. I think the use of my figure in my piece is a preference and taste issue more then a technical issue.

This is bad ass (is it alright to call it that?). The detail is simply amazing. The monochromatic colors really make the lineart stand out.I just noticed, why does she have blood on her hands? O_o

She has blood on her hands because the scars on her face have broken open ( purposely or accidently? You decide. ) There's an IP in my scaps "Her Bleary Eyes" it's a picture of the same character, so you can see the scars on her face, though if I remember right, the way I've got it flipped is the wrong side of her face, but she's still a new character, so there's much to do on her and things change. ^^

This is very interesting to look at, the pieces you shaded and colored seem to jump out at you, while the plain ink falls in the background. It gives the piece a true sence of depth. I really like what you've done here. Well done!
