Description
I started on that monster girls challenge back in October (you draw a monster girl each day of the month)Β and this was as far as I got.
Mermaid (based on the bloodfin tetra) , Harpy, slime girl, plant girl, naga (based on the bush viper), and centaur (based on an okapi)

So, do you read Daily Life with Monstergirls, out of curiosity? I find it sort of funny that, out of the six monstergirls you picked to do, you picked the same races as five of the seven members of Darling's harem.

wow, really surprised me how well you blended the monster witht he girl, i mean it, NEVER saw a Okapi centaur before or a mermaid based on a Bloodfin and they look awesome XD

I've commented on this before, but its just too awesome!!! I absolutely love your style, girl! Everything is so perfect! You are so creative with your designs and know exactly how to create the ideal mood. The bloodfin mermaid is so clever, and her sorrow just penetrates you. I love how fun-loving and friendly the harpy looks as opposed to traditional depictions. The slime girl looks like something out of TMNT, she's adorable! I LOVE the design of the plant girl, she's beautiful! The girl half and snake half blend so naturally in your Naga picture, her eyes are so cool! And the okapi centaur is just plain AWESOME! Like Octoboy-the-8th said, the facial stripes are such a cool detail. I love how original you are! Rock on, girl! Β

The okapi centaur really made an impression on me! It's quite unique and absolutely beautiful. I really hope to see more monster girls from you! They look as though they belong to very interesting stories.

Nice dark, sorrowful piece with the tetra lady. With a name like "bloodfin", you kind of would expect to have a great deal of death and destruction in your life. The poor mermaid sure seems choked by this. I do like how you took the combination of the tetra's transparent body (thus visible skeleton) and bloody fin to create a death-associated character. She's kind of got similar charm to the jellyfish in what you did with the transparency. As a bonus, the name "tetra" also kind of is reminiscent of "tetraphobia", which is a death-based superstition. Part of me is curious how a ship could wind up wrecked in theΒ ParanΓ‘ Β river (maybe it could, I'm not sure how deep it is). Then again, I am loving the very soulful look of those translucent whisps of hair, which kind of resemble a cloud, or seafoam. You sure make some cool ghostly mermaids.
The harpy kind of reminds me of Madame Hooch, what with the spiky haircut, aviator appearance and birdlike features. I like how you gave her a beaky nose, and the markings of the feathers look really nice.
The sentient slime sure is cool. She seems like something you'd expect to show up in a Ghostbusters movie with maybe a bit of Grimer mixed in. Living puddles of luminescent toxic waste are fun.
I definitely think the plant girl is one of my favourites here. I'm adoring that kink-filled mass of hair as overgrown as a bed of weeds. Also liking the natural skirt of chard leaves. I know quite a few people who grow chard and make meals out of it, so this little lady does look literally yummy. Brilliant details and sheen on that big, winding stalk she's sitting on, and the sunlight shining through the canopy is lovely. I can just feel the delight of that plant as its leaves soak up the brilliant rays. Wonderful work.
That's one pretty naga. You really did well with the bush viper's spiny-looking scales and winding, prehensile body. The way the tail loops around in a fashion similar to an infinity symbol kind of reminds me of Apep too. The red variety sure is beautiful, and you've certainly done it to justice, with the ruby hair to go with it. I also think the cheek scales are cute, it gives this naga a special bit of charm and adds to the flow between the animalistic and human parts of the creature. Again, I love the background, that sure is one excellent forest. The textures of the bark, the sun shining through the leaves, everything's pitch perfect.
And, of course, there's the centaur. I sure love okapi-centaurs, and this one's definitely full of spunk. Love the dreads and the earring for that extra bit of pizazz. The facial stripes add to this as well. And of course there's the forest, but I don't think that needs stating at this point.
Judging by the quality of these pictures, I'd say getting this far is damn impressive. I probably would take at least a month to make something like one of these! You are one talented designer and artist, really well drawn!
