This is a Polaroid emulsion transfer which I made a few years ago. It's unfortunate that this process can't be done anymore. I've always loved its ethereal qualities.Related content

Fuji makes an alternative that I know a few people are using to do transfers. not completely hopeless

A Polaroid emulsion transfer is when you boil a certain type of Polaroid film (I can't remember which) and the emulsion comes off. You then have a tissue-paper thin version of your image which you can manipulate and place on a piece of fine-art paper.
