Abilities: Kel wasn’t always human. The ability to transition between forms-Human by sunlight, Caindread by moonlight could be labeled as a passive ability, as he cannot alter it.
Main: Kel has no weapon training (on account of not growing up human) so he fights like some kind of spastic dojo reject. He is not opposed to biting.
Magic: While in his true form Kel is a formidable fighter. His talons can instantly burn through and cauterize most substances. While he is not a true fire elemental, he is able to amp the air around him to a blistering heat, thus burning his enemies without true fire.
While human, his abilities are evidently weakened-But his touch can still burn you! …a little.
Healing: If the ability to cauterize ones wound counts as healing-than count him as less then inept.

Personality: Poised and calm Kel can naturally gauge any opponents power/strength. He is not easily tricked, and will call a bluff when he sees one. He is a unique fighter in that he does not overestimate his own power or abilities. He knows his strengths and limits, and is not crippled by that knowledge. He is an honest individual and what he may lack in tact, he makes up for in sincerity.
Overall: Content and collected, Kel’s mood does not flux much. He will indulge his curiosities, and follow those he considers his packmates. He enjoys a good conversation, and appreciates being treated as the intelligent individual he is-especially when he does not appear human.

History: Kel never truly valued anything prior to becoming human. His life was not grouped around values or friends, strength was all that was asked of him, and power was all that he knew. As a pup, Kel was taken from his home, along with the rest of his pack by a High Demon. They were outfitted with red collars made from the talons of their own kin, and kept as sentinels in his evolving empire; serving as a symbol of strength to the demons he accrued within in army.

The Beginning-The seal is Broken, Ares returns to the world and the Era of Chaos begins-

The years locked away in the moon had done little to impede the High Demons preparations-He had known and prepared for the greater war that was now at hand. His metropolis settled and continued to amass in strength for the war of his God.
It was during this transition, that Kel encountered his first human from the Earthran providence. She was the only person to ever approach him without fear, and touch him without dominion. She ran her fingers through his mane, and only startled when he spoke.
It was the first true conversation Kel had ever known.

In the few years that followed he had the pleasure of seeing her many more times. He marveled at the pace of a human life, and the fragile power she tenderly possessed. Upon entering her 23rd year, several more years would pass before he would see her again. Those years were filled with conflict and opposition, as lesser Caelians sought to overthrow and occupy the base of the High Demon. Slowly at first, then breaking like a fever Kel’s kin were slain one by one as the enemy’s numbers amassed and their threat pressed ever inward.
By the third year of the Chaos war, the castle was all that remained.

The Fall:
The sky was stained by the ebony eye of the full moon, when the last wall finally shattered.
The remaining demons met their deaths upon the bodies of their fallen comrades, as the High Demon waited patiently for his part in this war to end.

It was in the silence of their final moments, that Kel came to comprehend his master. He had given these demons a purpose; they who had none and knew only anguish as they suffered while sealed away. He had given them conviction, a cause to die for, and however briefly, a reason to live for as well. The weight that suppressed him beneath the guise of a servant finally lifted. He realized he too had a reason to fight.

The Caelians that broke through the final door met their end quickly. Kel’s erupting convictions had engulfed the room in a torrid rage of heat, scorching and consuming everything in its path. The air was aflame with the shimmering waves and danced like a mirage in the desert.
His skin unscathed, but his armor lightly aflame the High Demon rose and placed a single hand on the center most talon of Kel’s collar.
His voice was hard, and his countenance was heavy, but Kel did not recline from him.
A broken smile reached his face, a foreign expression Kel had never before seen him make.
New voices echoed throughout the hallways as he said,
“Power will always be met with power.”
A soft heat spread along Kel’s body, overtaking his limbs and weaving its way deep inside him, as a symbol burned its way into his collar.
“Use this power. To live.”

Kel heard the arriving shouts of the enemy as he fell to the floor.
He was not awake to witness the High Demons final stand.

The Rebirth:
Kel awoke far from the ruins of the castle. It was the first time he had ever been outside of their walls. His expression was strained as he recognized his Earthran friend, Evah, sitting close beside him. Her comforting hand grasped within his own.
Kel had awoken a human.

Evah proved to be an excellent teacher. Time passed quickly, as he learned how to live as a human under her tutelage. Kel proved to be a fast learner with a crooked smile handy for those moments he found humanity to be mentally taxing. Over time, Evah decided it would be best to take Kel back with her to Earthra, and late one afternoon her messenger came for him.
Kel traveled with the stranger in silence, remarking only when necessary. It wasn’t until dusk fell and Kel returned to his Caindread form that the conversation REALLY picked up; but silence returned to them upon Evah’s unforeseen arrival.

Out of the darkness numerous Caelians emerged, having trailed her horse to this desolate location. They faltered momentarily as Kel loomed before then, before continuing their attack. Side by side, Kel and Evah faced them, scattering the guards, and keeping the others at bay. As the rays of morning broke through the tree’s Kel finally fell, his human form unable to continue under the weight of his wounds as they shifted around his new body. Crippled with pain Evah mounted her horse, desperate to draw the guards away from him.
The sun blinded Kel and he reached for her, as the remaining men withdrew to give chase.

The Present: Kel is still looking for Evah. His searches brought him to the outskirts of a small town before her trail ran cold..

While Kel is currently considered ‘human’ his true race is most definitely not.

Caindread Creature info: Caindreads are large sentient demons that live in the darkest regions along the edge of the world. They are territorial and live in large groups similar to wolf packs. Capturing a Caindread requires ones power to be equal, if not superior to their own. Capturing an entire pack was for a time considered impossible.
Race Traits: Caindreads are blind in the human sense of the word. Since they only know extreme darkness, they see via ‘Pulse’ the natural energy all living things emit. They are able to gauge proximity, living vs. inanimate etc. based on this principle.
Claws: Red while at rest-they cannot burn you although they are warm to the touch.
Brilliant yellow/orange while active-Capable of burning through most anything.

Additional Info:
Kel got his name from Evah He possessed no true name before her. Because of this, he will not typically give out his full name, as it is precious to him.
Kel is only human by day. At night, he returns to his Caindread form, regardless of setting or circumstance. Those that know him, know to keep him outside at night.
The only substance known to burn a Caindread, is the talons of another Caindread. (Thus Kels collar being made from the talens of other Caindreads serves as a way to keep them in line)
Kel is an emotionally stable person. However, if he does not like you he may still try and burn you. (don’t shake his hand when he is angry) XD
Kel is very aware of status and rank when meeting new individuals. With his Pack mentality, he has an interest in knowing who is in charge. He will give respect where it is due.
Kel loves to play, but he is rather inept at doing so in an acceptably human manner.
As Kel’s master, the High Demon is the only one who can remove Kel’s collar without any repercussions. Removing Kels collar would strip him of his humanity.
If your ever cold, stand next to Kel, he is toasty.

I dont' believe I've ever had a RP character go through SO MANY REVISIONS. But it was worth it to get to this.
I won't be sharing his first concepts on here, but suffice to know, he has changed alot.
Mostly for the better imo.
