My entry for a Draw This In Your Style (also known as DTIYS) challenge hosted by Chiakiro / @chiakiroart on Instagram. The topic was a tiger with pink and blue clouds and it was right up in my alley so I couldn't resist!

I have been trying to get back into my comfort zone to find the joy of creating art. It's surprisingly easy to lose that joy, especially when you get too caught up in social media. For me it's far too easy to coax myself into doing work that I think people and the algorithm will like and in the process I lose what is important to me. I sometimes feel a little silly just painting big cats in various sky and space inspired scenery but it's just so much fun! There is so much to explore and painting these kind of pieces makes me happy.

This piece was also inspired by the song "Above the Clouds" by Musk Ox, one of my favourite songs. I have been wanting to do something inspired by it for so long and decided to pull some of the vibes from it into this painting.
