Description

"So I was wondering... I don't want to sound speciest or anything. I'm half human myself, being a half elf and so, so the last thing I want to do is to sound rude... but how come you are... well... human?" asked Tamaria Al'Teron, the half elf mage, to the Human Bard.

"I'm human" said Bogdurash, the human bard that not long ago Bog presented as her cousin when they where gathering as an adventuring party.

"I.. I know you are" the half elf said, looking at her color of skin and shape of ears, eyes or nose. As well she know, that the last person that doubted it, Bugdurash proved her humanity, crushing him with her lute. "is just... that I wonder."

"Well, really it's easy" Bogdurash said. "Both my father and my mother where Half Humans. Therefore, I'm a full Human. See?"

"...I'm not sure that's how it works" Tamaria told herself.

Then, the whole party stopped in front of an ominous looking door, covered in runes.

"HALT!" Bog announced to the party compossed of the seven adventurers. "This door reeks of both treasures AND traps! We should like, totally open it!" He then turned to the group. "Elf-Boy! Rogue! We are going to try to open it!

Meanwhile, Grimoir, my cousin and the two elf chicks will go to explore a bit further!"

"Forget it" Grimoir d'Aryy said. "You are so NOT staying alone with my sister Trunni there. You go out exploring and I stay with her!"

"But Grimoir! I'm not alone with her! It's elf-boy alone!"

"Whatever" Trunni said. "We stay with Al'Teron and Bogdurash, you guys go exploring"

As said, it was done, and soon stayed only in front of the large, ominious door covered in runes the three girls.

"I will search for spellwards" said Al'teron, as she casted a spell. "Then you can do... well... you are supposed to be a rogue, right? Do your rogue things... with a hammer and a heavy armor?"

Trunni looked at the Half-Elf, rising an eyebrow. "I detect some disbelief in that tone of voice?"

"I just wonder" said Al'Teron. "How come that if you are a rogue, you are the heaviest armored member of the adventuring party?"

"You doubt of my rogue skills?!" said offended the proud dwarven woman, as she wielded her heavy hammer, that had a rune of a busted padlock.

"No! No! Not at all!" Tamaria was quick to say. A pissed dwarf is a dangerous dwarf. And dwarves where always pissed, according to her experience. "Is just that I thought that maybe the armor could get a bit... noisy, when you want to be... eh.... sneaky"

The dwarf looked at her a bit confused. "Sneaky? For what I would need to be stealthy?"

"You are a rogue" Tamaria said.

Trunni d'Aryy raised her shoulders. "Indeed. When I bust locks with my hammer: what is the point of stealth?"

Al'Teron didn't know how to answer to that, so she finished casting her spell to inspect the door.

"AND COULD YOU STOP PLAYING THAT DAMN LUTE?!!" groaned Trunni to Bogdurash.

"I'm just adding some tension with background music!"

"IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE KILLING CATS WITH THAT THING! KILLING THEM SLOWLY!"

Companions of Bog - Mini Contest

The Companions of bunny75

Since looooong ago I did a small contest, that was to come by with the 3 other adventurers, members of the Zannas Adventurers GuildTM, that acompanied Bog the Barbarian, the dwarf paladin Grimoir d'Aryy, the drow rogue cleric Maylara Maltree and Hebonnor Sylvan elf warrior ranger Neroe Rhedyn in a Dungeon Crawl.

The mini-contest was to get a design of three yet only mentioned but not drawn or described adventurers:
A Half-Elf mage, a Dwarf Rogue, and a Human Bard.

The participants of the contest where:

The result of it will be decided by a poll AND the public response.

was the only one to make as well a drawing for it, representing the Human Bard:

What Tamaria Alteron is saying: "DUUDEEE! I was used in the entry of ANIMAL-DELOS! You completely re-used me! I feel so-so USED!"

Shabazik: "Well, it was the same dynamic of a flat chested half elf girl, that Bog thinks is a male, because all halfelfs (other than Bog) look like girls"

Tamaria: "Laaaaaaaaaaaaameeeeeee"

No, both of her parents are half-humans, so it makes her full one.
It is not said what are other part of her parents, but I'm sure there is also lot of orc.

supposing their was an eggcell containing only human chromosomes from the mother... and a sperm containing only human chromosomes from the father that could theoretically be possible...

but, the odds if it happening per conception are (2^23) X (2^23) ..... also the number off eggcells females have tends to be a lot lower then (2^23)

pretty sure she's got at least one orc chromosome in her.

This is a very funny group! Poor Tamaria who is always taken for a boy, while funny, still loses to her companions. Β The human bard whose humanity and profession can both be called in question and the most, uh, straight-forward dwarf rouge ever for the win. Expanding families is always fun and I wonder if you could be pleaded into making a Bog family tree because I would love to see what kind of street mutt results can be found there. Is Bogdurash a human-elf-orc-hybrid? And what does our brave paladin think of the thief in the family? Is it one of those awkward moments in the big family reunions when the elderly aunts start asking what these youngsters have been doing with their lives?

*Falls over dying laughing* Ahahaha... that last comment... XD

Phew.. now that that's outta my system.

Tamaria looks totally badarse here. Love how she's got the spell ready to go.

As for Grimoir's sister Trunni... not sure how I feel... funny chara but we feel that Grimoir woulda mentioned her before. XD

As for the Bogrudash... well... we sure she's not a daughter of Bog who just grew up fast? Kidding, kidding. lol...

Seems Tamaria's really really popular.

I love the basic same design used for an androgynous male! LoLΒ  Also, the idea of a rogue in the same family as a paladin surprised me, but the d'Arry siblings seem not to have fallen so far from each other after all!Β  Grimoir is a rather roguish warrior and Trunni is a very warrior appearing rogue!Β  There is indeed some family resemblance!

Shabazik In reply to larqven [2014-04-27 19:16:55 +0000 UTC]

It's not just the same basic design: is the same elf lady, called Tamaria Al'Teron! XD

Bog just think that Al'Teron is a male. Because, Al'Teron sounds... male, right? who knows with half elves!

And well: the rogue isn't much a thief... but of a heavily armored Lock buster and a merchant!

True, but there are a number of pictures of high elves of both sexes with styled long hair, wearing robes and gowns, this seems to beΒ especially true when dealing with magic users.Β  Or sometimes androgynous elves in armor.
