"Oh come on, Dhan'yeel! You doesn't have to worry at all!" said Min'ue, the drow tourist guide to the human. "It's a sure thing to win on these things!"

"If they are such a sure way for people to win, there would be nobody to host such gambling games!"

"Well, that's because only fools lose! And we aren't fools, right?"

Min'ue was almost starting to worry that she was getting a way too much luck and it was about to crash! Turns out her worry about Len'ryu was a bit too hasty. Sure, she was somewhat snobbish and her appetite was just a ridiculous... really, it was no wonder that someone like her was drawn to foolish human paying drow to eat. But! She was a rather charming and after a few days of going around a various eateries when the foolish human started to worry about his finances she offered him to help with his trouble and took them to eatery where was starting a gambling night of sorts.

Sure, someone could say that human's finance trouble were being mainly caused by Len'ryu. And not even by her taking them to eateries doing a food challenges with a hefty penalties for failing them! ...Since she kept destroying those with ease, Min'ue and Human were both impressed as they were horrified by it. No, it was the regular meal poison tasting...

Or was it? Min'ue paused for a second in thought. Len'ryu said something along the lines that Human was only vaguely interested in that aspect at start and only changed his mind after Len'ryu talked with him about it. Apparently, a regular human meals were a way less dangerous then drow ones in that regard, who knew? No, she said that human was actually writing something like book about food. She was still not sure what that was about.

Anyway, it was regular meals that were troublesome as Len'ryu kept ordering a big portions and often a doubles of any she found tasty. But that was problem for the human since he agreed to paying for those. Still, she was really excited right now! She only heard about those gambling event before as she was a too poor to even look at these from distance. And those money games were easy! She wasn't sure why everyone she knew kept talking about how dangerous they were. They were already winning a lot.

She was just wondering why human seemed to be a so worried about the whole thing. He was making a strange faces every since Len'ryu revealed why they were in this particular corner of merchant district. She did wondered a bit about how Len'ryu managed to get all of Human's money in first place but that was something she can ponder about it later. Whoa! Did one of the other gamblers really just...?

She excitedly tugged at Human's tunic. One of the gambler more wealthy looking ladies just threw a servant key into the betting pile! If they win this game they will get their own servant! She almost couldn't believe it! Even in her wildest dreams she didn't dare to imagine having servant she could boss around...

Just a short distance away from her, said servant was a lot less happy time. In fact she was having a horrible time!

"Mistress please, don't do this!". She begged her owner who just scoffed at her.

"Oh, just shush you! Just look at it as being finally useful after losing that last batch of sweets. At least it's finally clear you are actually losing that stuff since I had it spiked by my poisoner friend. At least as betting chip you can't screw up. Now be quiet I need to concentrate on winning." Servant girl gulped. She did wonder why those desserts seemed to sizzle on her tongue and in stomach. And that smoke burp was just weird. Still this was disaster! She could be won by someone who wasn't as dense as her current mistress and that could end her current easy life...

Min'ue sighed. Their new servant girl managed to dampen her excitement already. She couldn't even believe that servant girl seriously grabbed Len'ryu's Lucky Dice and swallowed them in failed effort to spoil their win! Strangely, Len'ryu seemed to be a way less upset about it and almost looked relieved when that happened. She could swear she even mumbled something like "Oh, thank Goddess Beneath! I was sure owner was about to inspect my dice! I need to be more careful next time..." At least their funds were secured for a while~
