Getting the lighting right on this one turned out to be quite a challenge. I used two spot lights behind the windows, two light panels in front of the girls in a IDL render. Then a separate render with just a volumetric light for the rays. Composited in Photoshop with the most layers I ever used
Shame the difference between the sepia on the right and the more "contemporary" colors on the left don't come out as well in this small format.

I like the mood of it. One thing I would say is wouldn't the instrument have some hard edged reflections of the lights from the windows? Seems too dark. Great work though!

Good point. I'd have to have another look at the cello-model, but I think it doesn't have pronounced edges in it that could pick up those reflections. Thanks for your comment.
