Description "Celestial": done on a 11.75x8.14" (A4) grey Winsor & Newton pastel paper with Bruynzeel coloured pencils and an assortment of soft pastels. A little bit was cut off from the top and bottom after that, so I'm not sure of the right size now, but it's not a big difference.

The background - sky and fields - were done with soft pastels. The fox herself, who may or may not be named "Celeste" (as a reference to a picture I did last year), was done with coloured pencils, and the rocks in the foreground with a combination of those.

The texture of the paper isn't quite as intrusive in real life as it is here. The colours are also a lot better; but eh, what are you gonna do, right?

This was made for this year's EuroFurence [link] Β©Selderaya, 31 May 2005

Wow, those colors and details are superb. The fur looks great, and that while it's less easy to see 'cause of the texture.

Love the pose, love the background. Great job!

Thank you! The fur was quite a struggle to do with the texture so I'm glad it still works effectively

The pose was partially inspired by a life drawing I did a few months prior to this drawing. Inspiration from RL subjects helps a lot when it comes to drawings like these.

Can imagine. Certainly makes the drawing much more pleasing for the eyes as well

Good god, simply amazing. The sky is beautiful and the colors leave me in awe. The background is so peaceful. I'd love to be sitting there, myself. <3 The shading is so fluffy. That kinda' shading would murder me. Then again I can't color with colored pencils (or any traditional media) to save my life.

Hey, thanks! I'm really glad people like it so much! And yeah, I'm planning on selling it at EuroFurence. I don't know what I'm going to use as a starting price yet, but I hope that I'll end up getting quite a bit for it; I could use the money
Thanks for the support!

nice job! i like how the paper can be seen through most of the piece as a texture
and the detail in the fur is sweet
that sunset, tho, that's the ticket, so many nice highlights and shadows
