Description
Peregrine falcon commission.I quite like this guy, I managed to create some pretty advanced curves in the sculpture, considering the medium used! Getting better at this.
Width: 46cm
Length: 35 cm
Depth: 15 cm
CD shards (over 40 CDs used )
Wire mesh frame
Hot glue
Gold paint
EDIT:
I use kitchen scissors to cut the shapes I need out of the CDs, then arrange each shard by colour and size. I then hot glue those shards one-by-one to a wire mesh frame to create a natural feather pattern. They usually take a week to make, maybe longer depending on how motivated I am to get them done!

This is incredible! How do you get such clean cut shapes from the cds? Every time i try to cut cds it breaks apart and the color/plastic comes off XD

It's not cuts, it's burns from hot glue that get me!

that too. the metal conducts a lot of heat, i guess i was just really used to it when i did mine. yours is a hell of a lot better than mine anyway.

Ha ha, the only thing I've ever killed before is a goldfish by accident ... so I suppose I killed one goldfish to get this ability.
