Last minute ruuushhhhh
But i had to do these two again. Duchess is too fun to draw, and poor Cavan is still trying his best to figure out how to make this stallion work well. Some days they will be fine and Duchess will actually put in some amazing work despite still having more attitude than the regular Aussie WB. Other days, its almost impossible to get him to focus and even clear one jump without it becoming a battle. Its an ongoing process and really depends on the mood the stallion is in XD

Duchess had been in a pissy mood all morning and Cavan was debating withdrawing. The stallion was difficult at the best of times and he was not particularly interested in making a fool of himself or his country at such a big event. But Harley had convinced him to try the warm up jumps to see just how bad it might be, and surprisingly Duchess had seemed in the mood to take on the obstacles (as well as the other horses warming up). Hoping this would just be a rather feisty round Cavan decided to continue with the day.

It seemed to work for the first part of their round. A few cleared jumps and some aggressive lines towards the next jump left Cavan concerned and he decided to risk trying to check their headlong rush through the course. The stallion pinned his ears and tossed his head, throwing a few more annoyed strides in as they reached the next jump in protest. They had cleared the rails despite how off their distance was when Cavan felt the stud shift mid air and a solid *CRACK* rang out.

Inspired by a photo i saw months ago of a horse kicking a middle rail after clearing the jump, which just screamed Duchess, but i then could not find it again and just recreated the scene myself XD
