Simple and amazing. I'm in awe as to how you can possibly choose where to put those bold strokes. There is not a single notable mistake in most any of your paintings, everything seems so planned but yet so loose. I love it.

thanks i tend to just keep on trowing on layer after layer of paint untill i feel that im heading in the right direction then i might slow a little bit and fit in some of the details, however when ever i feel im getting to detailed i just paint it out and try to do it in as few strokes as possible

yeah painting makes me very happy sometimes. every once in a while when im feeling down in school ill skip some classes and work on one of my paintings for my art classes. and then, after feeling happy again, i usually get in trouble... what a vicious cycle, lol.

i really like your style. and the way your da page changed! i read the comment on the DD, and it said that you had 33 pageviews. now you have more than 5000.. it's amazing how that image chosen by one person can make you be so viewed in such a short time.
but i have to admit that you deserve to be really watched. i didnt find a painter here on DA yet, at least not one i liked.
you paint with an unique style, using short brushstrokes (is it right to say that?) that when lookin the image from far away you see a beautiful image and when looking nearer, you can see the great texture it gives the painting.

thanks yeah i always loved how with a van gogh when your up close its just a mess of color but when you back away it makes such a great image, i try to carry that into my own work

van gogh, i heard that his brushes almost had no....mm i dont know how to say... brush, i mean, he had to paint with what was left of his brushes, and that was what gives his paints that unique style.

i find oil pastels to not mix so well all the time may i sujest looking into colored conte' sticks, they mix better and if you use them heavy like i do it can give the impression of being a painting
