The first two hospital days go by very slowly, between monitoring visits by the nurses and repeated supplications of receiving painkillers by Miyuki...

The toes, protruding from the plaster cast opening, represent virtually the only “view” constantly offered to Miyuki’s sight. Needless to say, that irritates her considerably... Especially the non-stop view of the toes on which the beautiful Milky Way “dominates”. Unfortunately for her, no more beauty weapon, but only the butt of jokes and giggles...

Also Doc Lily peeps from time to time to check Miyuki’s constantly lifted leg.

Once finished to check the status of the plaster cast, Lily sits on the chair next to Miyuki’s bed and, crossing her long, beautifully shaped legs, starts dangling her shoes with high heels just in front of the eyes of poor Miyuki...

It’s clear that this scene “hurts” Miyuki much more than the thought of having to deal with such a massive plaster cast...

And as if all this were not enough, the poor Miyuki also realizes that the doctor has the toe nails freshly polished and, what’s worse, with the Milky Way!

Lily, realising that Miyuki’s staring at her feet, exclaims «Yes, that’s the Milky Way! I had some doubt whether to have it applied, but then when I saw it on your toes I realised how amazing it was... I believe it does suit me well, doesn’t it?».

«It suits you wonderfully well Doc!» Cynthia intervenes, speaking at her back…

«Wonderfully well my ass!», mutters through clenched teeth Miyuki, now really pissed off about the nail polish issue...

«Did you say something Lady? I could not understand it... Anyway, I must say that Milky Way is a top class polish, no doubt about it. It also passed the crash-test of the plaster cast, a sort of ultimate test... ».

«In what sense?» argues a stunned Miyuki...

«You see, despite the fact that your leg has been put in such an enormous plaster cast, despite the physiological swelling of the toes protruding from it and the plaster dust spread all around, the polish has not ruined at all. Indeed, it seems that it has been applied only five minutes ago. I must admit that Georgina Carmichael’s products cost a lot, but they are of exceptional quality, hi hi hi...».

Cynthia, admiring the ability of her boss to “master” completely the secrets of the brand-new polish (which enhances her already great femininity) observes «You’re more than right Doc! With those shoes and, especially, those toes coming out from the openings with such nail polish, you would surely attract all the looks of the male colleague of the hospital. You’re going to make everybody’s head spin. Not that you really need it, they already worship the ground you tread on...».

Doc Lily «You’re too kind to me, Cynthia, but beauty has to be always helped. It’s a precious fruit that needs to be cultivated with passion day by day. It’s important to pay attention to every detail, because tips to look smarter and more feminine can be found even in the most strange and unexpected situations, perhaps they can also come from one of your patient...» and saying that Doctor Franke approaches Miyuki’s plastered leg in traction and, caressing her swollen toes, adds «You see Cynthia, if this gentle lady had not arrived at the hospital a few days ago, I wonder if I would have discovered this marvel of nail polish... hi hi hi».

Miyuki, who at that time was already dying of envy at the sight of Dr. Franke’s latest fashion shoes, replies «Enough! Enough is enough! I don’t intend to stay a second longer here to let the both of you taking the piss out of me! I want to be transferred to another hospital!».

Lily «But how do you dare to speak to me this way? Now I teach you education, far from letting you be transferred to another hospital. This is the best in the city, no one can treat you as well as we can do it!».

Immediately after Lily winks at Cynthia that comes close Miyuki’s bed and puts two new counterweights on the traction mechanism.

Immediately Miyuki’s broken leg is raised even further, making her scream in pain «Ouch!!! Ow!!! That hurts! I can’t take any more, don’t do that! The leg is too high. Please, put it back as it was before».

Lily, stroking again Miyuki’s casted foot, says «Ok Cynthia, you can remove the two counterweights. I think that Miss Miyuki has perfectly understood the lesson. She’d better not try to be disrespectful to me again. We understand each other Madam? Don’t you dare talk to me that way another time or it will be worse for you... Everything’s clear?».

Miyuki, looking at Lily with ill-conceived contempt, says «All-clear... Doctor».

Then Miyuki starts complaining with Lily about the orthopaedic loafer: she doesn’t want to wear it, because she considers it simply an insult to fashion!

But Lily is adamant about it «I don’t want to hear any fuss from you Ma’am! The shoe with orthopaedic wedge is the only (and I repeat THE ONLY ONE) that you will be allowed to wear on the healthy foot in the next months. The cork wedge is clearly “a large plant” one in order to allow you sufficient support on the ground to balance the weight and the bulk of the plastered leg. These are my orders and they cannot be discussed! I don’t intend to return to the subject, okay?».

Miyuki, nodding in agreement «Alright Doctor, I understand. No other shoe except the orthopaedic wedged loafer. Perfectly clear, sadly... ».

But in the mean time she thinks to herself “Bitch! Damned bitch! Easy to say, you’re not the one who has to wear that lousy, unsightly, unaesthetic loafer... I wish you, from the bottom of my heart and with my whole being, to break a leg as soon as possible, so you can understand the “horror” of wearing a shoe like that... I would pay from my own pocket to see you trudge with a leg in plaster and with a horrible loafer like the one that I – I who love shoes on top of everything – will be forced to put on in the next few months. What a damned nuisance!”.
