Description
I drew a tree while I was in class (semi-based off one I saw at Blarney castle which was big and beautiful and looked just like the kind of tree that would have a spirit or a person trapped inside of it), and used it to get some practice in landscapes. I don't know what it is, but anytime I try to do any kind of environment, I almost always fail. Especially when it comes to color, I just can never seem to pick colors that work. But I've decided to try to practice more and get better. It may be easy to draw all my characters in a void, but it's boring to look at and won't help me become a better artist.Related content

I love it~ the only thing that would make it better would be Simon and Vya sitting somewhere gazing at the moon (and holding hands) ~ otherwise it perfect!

If I was gonna put Simon and Vya under there, I think I'd make the color scheme not so creepy, and maybe put in some flowers, and turn the pond into a river, and (I need to stop before I actually end up drawing this)

I'm an anthropologist by trade, and I'm not satisfied that mystic stuff doesn't occur. The only real difference is what your culture calls thise little inexplicable things that we notice, but can't quite quantify.Β

Awwww eue <3<3 I've always felt that way too, that just because something is supernatural doesn't mean it's automatically fake. It may just mean we don't understand it yet. I'm not any kind of expert in this stuff, but I was always raised with equal parts science, religion, and supernatural influences, so in my mind, they're not separate schools of thought and none of them are set in stone and I always get confused talking to people who don't think that way

Ugh, I absolutely hate when people say such incredibly moronic things like that. Myths, like smiles and fart jokes are universal truths. Every culture has them and there is so much that can beΒ learned about the culture from them.
Don't worry about rambling, that's what we anthropologists get paid to do.
I like the mystical things in life, I like to think there is still stuff out there that we haven't explained. Makes life interesting.
