Okay I dont really think that the whole trans thing have any development behind it. I'm not against trans people butttttt the thing is:

There's many different types of Gender Dysphoria. And Sam is in highschool, so the dysphoria is most likely temporary. He should atleast feel some regret since if you become trans at like at a young age of well high-school age it's really not recommended. Your brain isn't developed yet to make the decision. I also believe that it didn't need to be specified as being once a female, since it doesn't really do anything to the plot of Leo's story. And well, we didn't get much depth from him so he's non-existent.


Just putting my thoughts out there.    Not trying to be transphobic.

whoop, who wants trans nitpicking? no one.

ok, so i see want youre getting at, the whole binding deal. since i think youre implying ace bandaging , ill give u some pointers on that.

firstly, ace bandaging constricts the chest totally. u would see a near total loss of boobs. not this loose thready thing up there. theres no repression whatsoever, and as someone who has used ace bandages on a large chest, this wouldn't solve any top dsyphoria. like, not at all.

if you plan on doing any more pre-op drawings of sam, i would suggest widening the bandages until they cover from right under boobs to-- at most-- under armpits. bandages are usually about two inchs wide. they would also fold heavily under his arms. ace bandages also aren't the best binders, so i would stray from using them in pre-op drawings. just a regular binder is fine. (and i think that was what he was wear in pixel form, and i love that!!)

however, if we talking about sam still being in an unsafe environment, i would see why he'd continue using ace.

on hair, if he's still not safe to cut, i would let go the long hair. but if sam's on his own, i see no reason to keep his hair long.

sorry if this was a bit long, i just have a thing for accuracy in trans characters. i dont speak for every trans person, though, so keep that in mind.
the work is still great, and i admire your art. it's all very well done, but i would check out that back form. it seems a bit too big/out there compared the the rest of the upper body. also, that bit with the stomach: that wouldn't be a totally smooth line, i don't think. he looks thin, but i would look at some references just to made sure. you're colouring is on point though, nice work.

i know this is from mid-summer and you've already heard this somewhere else, but i couldn't help myself.
