Description Dates: Started 12/13/18 Completed 12/17/18 (Took 3 days)

Artist's Notes: It may have taken me two and a half years, but I finally did it my 100th submission to this website. I figured I should draw Triceratops again not only because it is my favorite dinosaur but also because I wasn't really pleased with my previous attempts. I think this one turned out well, but I'm still not sure how to depict Triceratops' unique scale pattern. Now that I have posted a hundred drawings I was wondering if anyone watching would be interested in seeing some of my works in progress. I will warn you though these would be rough precursors to stuff that won't be done for a long time and things like scale, perspective, symmetry, and even stylistic fidelity will be completely off as these darwings will basically be me throwing a bunch of things on paper to see what works.

Nicely done! Especially love how you did the head! For some reason, I always have a bit of trouble drawing these guys's heads. :/

I can sympathize with that, the head is definitely the most difficult part of any ceratopsian to draw, not only because of all the extra detail in the form of horns and epioccipitals but also because of their strange proportions.

Congratulations on making your century, old fellow!

As for seeing your Work in process, I would be very glad to see how your illustrations are shaped and reshaped over the course of the creative process (as such insights are very frequently a delightful bonus).

Thank you. I figured if no one else at least you would have read the description and given your opinion. I should be posting the sketches this coming Monday, but don’t expect the finalized drawings for a very long time, I need a lot of preparation to do them justice.
