Description
this is my larp character tenebris consilium , she is a 20 yr old female demon/human mixthis costume is a mix of store buying and making .
all the furred parts on the left arm are lined with cotton for comfort .
the claws and paws are latex and foam to make them safe for larping .
parts made - ears,tail,tunic,pouch
bought- shoes,trousers,waistcoat,belt, horns-then they were modded
few little things missing such as extra pouches,a wristband,arm guard for the right arm,little clip for the tunic and weapons,other than that ,shes pretty much complete
once the costume is fuly complete i plan to have a better photoshoot ,a more in character setting in some woodland

i added lots of extra colours to them,but if you do get these ive found that the red paint thats alredy on them flass off really easy :/

Those are sweet horns. May I ask where you got them and how you modded them? I've been looking for something similar for a Tiefling costume.

these are the horns, i found the red paint on them falls off really easily so i had to seal with mod podge the horns once, then i added lots of diffrent colours to them to get a more natural colour browns,greens etc ,then resealed it with mod podge again .
this i might make this characters race a tiefling, found out about them this morning thanks to another da user and there backstory and nature perfectly matches my character

it was really easy to paint . i put a little paint on ,let it dry a few mins then rubbed it off,so only the paint would stick in the detailed areas its a simple technique but it gives fantastic results, i use it alot when painting things mostly my aramor for cosplays gives them an old battle worn look

I'll see if I can strip them with orange oil when they show up (I'm hesitant to use a stronger solvent since I don't know if the plastic would melt). I've done dry-brushing to highlight details on miniatures before and I suspect the technique is similar to what you're describing.

mhmm,thats if you do get a set that chips away, mine did :/ you maybe lucky but for me it litrally fell off everywhere leaving lil bits of red paint over my work desk D: . yep dry brushing is pretty much the same

NICE. How secure are the horns? That was something that I always had trouble with since I larp as a demon as well. x.x

the horns are really really secure, i filled some of the horn with tissue paper and latex, then layered fabric over the headband and tn lotsa latex over the layers of cotton ,it was an experiment but it worked great
