this is 's commission of her character Jade who is in her comic Green Eyes which is here ->her hands bug me but i'm happy with the hair. long flowing hair is always fun to shade (when i don't feel lazy) and she liked it, so, hurray! no crits because the person the pic is FOR liked it. so yea.
Jade belongs to and should not be used w/o permission, so no taking the char or the pic. colored in photoshop, faving w/o commenting is boo as per usual yaddayadda.

this isnt meant to be critique, more of an insight... dont take it the wrong way, it's jsut my view on the hands
i can see where you dont like the hands... especially the one that's kinda possitionsed toward up, but on it's own i think it looks good :]
but what may throw it off is the other hand is slightly more realistic, yet that hand i mentioned earlier... looks a bit more... um... cartoony?

ummm
1. new b/g layer in image you're working on
2. fill w/ gradient
3. select entire layer, copy and paste into new image
4. image type > greyscale
5. image type > bitmap; set to halftone screen, output same as the original pic, # of dots per line to something low like 1 or 2. the darker part of the gradient will make larger dots, the lighter makes smaller.
6. image type > greyscale
7. image type > RGB
8. select all, copy
9. repaste as b/g layer in original picture.
10. add gradiated layer of color over it, set to overlay.
