Description
This is summer homework... metal study.I'm not... completely satisfied. so, I'm going to ask, even though probably nobody will actually say anything... if anyone has ANY sugestions, that would be helpful. so... ok.

very good. i think to add a more metalic reflection what it's missing is one hard edged highlight. maybe even just a small one like a single hard line. finding where is going to be a little bit harder, if you worked from a picture i'd have a gander at it and see if there was one, or if there was a duller one you can punch out for effect? goodonya tho

thanks! this is so old I'm not sure if I could track down the picture, but you are probably right that there ought to be some hard highlights... Its a weird synthetic metal materiel, but it probably would look better if it looked like it was brass

this is amazing.
you took great effort on the details here. the shine of the metal, the worn spots from fingers and hands and the cross section of the screws. Very nice.

I absolutely love the prospective, I would say for brass maybe a bit of greenish tinge or more yellow for newer brass but i don't know for sure.

yeah, like where there is more wear or another really cool effect would be like if it had a brass finish that was sluffing off and you could see the other metal under it. although that sounds like a new project...

Dude, awesome perspective. I wish I could paint like that.
As for crit, the only thing that bugs me is the dullness of the metal. As in, it doesn't pop very much out of the cold background. I guess what I'm trying to say here is make it warmer.
